Hello guys !
I am once here again for professional advice for learning linux.
I heard future gonna be on open source Apps and Operating Systems and Linux is one amongst them as OS. So recently i just messed with Ubuntu studio once and i guess…it needs a lot of programming knowledge to operate. As an artist how effects my career, if i don’t wanna learn it. Advices would be highly appreciated.

Curve editor customization
Posted in: NUKE from The Foundryhi. i’m troubled with text color in curve editor :confused:. it’s backgrnd is black and texts ( frame number and its value both) black and barely seen. can anyone change text color to brighter? i tried changing colors in preferences but couldn’t find the way. pls help.

Houdini problem

I have just started learning Houdini & facing a problem with the software. It works fine until i minimize the window & when i maximize it again the Houdini interface becomes black & doesn’t even close I have to go to the task manager to close it. This happens everytime I try to close a file & open a new file also.

Your responsibilities will include service and support for 70 Macintosh users, managing the Isilon NAS and Avid Unity shared resources, network expansion and upkeep, vendor/contractor relations, and equipment purchasing.
You must have excellent time management skills, be able to adaptively prioritize production needs and resources, and possess the ability to translate technical issues to creative professionals. Presently our support needs are outsourced and we are looking to gracefully consolidate issues to this position. 5 years prior production experience preferred; salary commensurate with experience.

Looking for a mograph and/or CG artist for some relatively simple FX overlay over existing imagery (with basic motion tracking, 2.5D probably).
We have a series of brief shots (6 total at appx 2-4 seconds a piece) of electronic objects (credit card scanner, laptops in one shot, a satellite, radio screen, cellphone) that need simple wireframe overlays to animate over as if a wireframe was unfolding over these objects. Each animation should be no more than 2 seconds.
All shots must be completed by Sunday evening PST. Please email for more info with a link to a reel. Thank you.
