How to properly use raid? I installed a raid, need cache nodes?

I installed a raid on my mac quad core system.

Now inside nuke, do I simply set the cache directory in the system preferences to my raid, and crank the amount to say 80gb?

Or do I have to use cache nodes or anything,

I am only seeking to speed up the write nodes output times, so please help.

I already put all my media and projects on my raid 0 system, what now?

Out-of-work job applicants told unemployed need not apply

I wonder if this is the same in vfx. I read this article on the yahoo site. There have been certain companies out there that will not look at a candidate if they have been unemployed for some time.
Is this the same in vfx for artists that do not meet the +4 years of experience, or for those that have been doing ‘free’ work for some time?

NDK and Visual Studio 2008

Has anyone ever gotten the example file or even Add.cpp to compile in VS 2008 SP1?

I’ve got another library that wants 2008 and nuke wants 2005 and am trying to determine which is going to cause the most problems. 😀

If I try to compile in VS 2008 even with the Secure_SCL 0 bit I get a ton of linker errors. Mostly related to DDIimage.

A.F. Schepperd’s tripped out video for Blockhead – “The Music Scene”

A.F. Schepperd’s tripped out video for Blockhead is nothing short of an incredible feat. Anthony acting as Director and the only animator said that he created the entire project just under 5 months, only working within Flash.

His previous work for Ape School really grabbed our attention. This time around, he’s really outdone himself.
