I’m trying to find a way to add a header or source input device (as d.j.v calls it) to a dpx file in nuke.
Pls help
I’ve made a custom gizmo with two python script buttons. At the time i’m running the script that defines the procedures executed by those buttons inside nuke’s script editor. is there a way to run this script when the node is created? so i jsut need to deploy my gizmo and the corresponding python script (without using menu.py or init.py)?
and another thing i’ve been wondering about: is there a flag that tells the getFilename-Dialog to disable the preview window? it always produces an error since it doesnt understand the file extension given in the filter.
thanks for your help!
cheers,
sean

1. I tracked a Shot using Nukex Camera Tracker
2. Exported an FBX (using writegeo) – Camera and a Card
3. Imported into Maya and all was off scale. Increased the camera Scale factor from default 1.0 to 2.0 in maya. After this the geometry was aligned with the Image plane perfectly.
But the biggest issue I am facing is that the scale of the entire scene is very very small. I tried to change the import units from centimetres to millimeters but still no luck.
Has anybody successfully did FBX import to Maya from Nuke?
Please let me know.

I just finished Digital Tutor’s Introduction to channels for Nuke, but before I continue my training I want to do some color study. I’ve googled some books, but there are quite alot of them out there to choose from…
The fine folks at The Ant Farm have been flexing their stereoscopic 3D muscles lately, with trailers like Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, Shrek 4, Piranha 3D and Yogi Bear and really put in a 1-2 punch for their latest and largest 3D project, the main titles for Step Up 3D.
The team was challenged with the task of combining live action, 3D footage with stereoscopic 3D effects. The result is an eye popping, seamless mash-up of high energy dance moves and fluidly integrated motion graphics.
If you want a taste of what these titles look like in 3D and you’ve got some anaglyph glasses lying around, check out these snippets.
Lastly, take a look at the additional titles and interstitials they delivered here.
Also, they’re in order from oldest to newest.
