Nuke lagging because of Rotopaint?

Hi,

I have this problem with nuke 6.1 and 6.2. Whenever I start using rotopaint nodes, nuke will eventually start lagging pretty badly. Ive tried clearing caches, reinstalling etc. Most times, after a minute or 2, the program will recover, but only to lag again after 5 minutes. Other times I have to force quit.

My comp specs are below

Core i7 extreme 6 core
6 gig ram
quadro fx 3800

Anyone know whats up with this 🙂

panasonic hvx200 film back info???

Hi All
I am in a bit of a tizzle regarding the film back settings for a plate shot with a panosonic ag-hvx-200.

I can find little info on this besides the fact that it has a 1/3" back and that the camera shoots 1440 x 1080 at 16:9 natively. my plate is indeed 1440×1080 with a pixel aspect of 1.333

a chart i have found here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital…_angle_of_view

tells me that 1/3" genericaly works out to 4.8×3.6mm, this seems immensly small to me

has anyone tracked this camera before? I am geotracking a face from a stationary shot but need to check my back is all good first

many thanks

Andrew S. Allen: The Thomas Beale Cipher

There’s a lot of striking moments in Andrew S. Allen‘s “The Thomas Beale Cipher“. I love the re-purposed textures (herringbone fabric and washed-out wood), the grainy whisps of wrapping light, and the clever mix of rotoscoped footage with abstract design.

For more of his work, check out the 2010 Anchorage International Film Festival Opener. No collage here, but the high contrast, punchy colors and moody compositions will be familiar.

Found at the excellent Short of the Week as part of their new “Short of the Week Presents” program, which plans to feature short films that have never been online before and help to coordinate their digital launch. Bravo!
