Flame,Nuke

I’m looking for some opinions about Nuke , Flame.
Some say that 2D, 3D tracking, RotoPaint is better with Flame…and Nuke has to go a long way to catch the Flame suite…

what’s better: Maya or 3DS Max
Posted in: Beginners TalkI would like someone who is experienced to tel me which one is better.
I know that anything used is a tool, and you should always use what tool is best for any particular job. But I just want a generalized answer. Overall is Maya better or 3DS Max?
What are the pro’s and con’s of each?
Any info whatsoever would be appreciated.
Are there any similarities between the two programs. If you learn one, is it pretty easy to learn the other?

Will Nuke scripts made using 6.2v1 work when opened with 6.0v6?
I have 6.0v6 at work, but working from home over xmas. I need the scripts to open when I get back to work.
