Combine backpacking with vfx-work? (India)

I’m having fleeting thoughts about backpacking in India for a few weeks this summer and I thought it would be really cool to combine that with doing some vfx-work. Not for money, but for experience.

So my question is how hard that would be.
Is it legal to do that with a turist-visum
Is it hard to get a temporary vfx-job (a few days)
Do they employ foreigners
etc
etc

I’m a 23 year old swedish compositing student, and thus have no real world working experience. But I’m perfectly capabale and willing to do rotowork.

alpha / color / color+alpha

Hi,
Is it possible to suppress the alpha directly from the footage in Nuke ? (I see nothing in the read node.)
in combustion you select the footage and can choose : color or alpha or color+alpha.

cineform problem.!

hi
i have 2k editing hardware with cineform as codec because of the si-2k shots.
but my playback has problems in frame dropping unless i downgrade the playback of my premiere to1/4 and lose a lot of data.
the playback on windows is okay.
…my system is in bellow descriptions:
cpu: intel xeon e5430 2.66ghz *2
8gig of ddr3 ram
64bit os 7
quadrofx 4500 nvidia graphic gpu
and my cineform is :neo 4k 3d 5.2
….
p.s:
every time i re-open my projects all my cache media files are being re produced and looks like premiere can not hold my cache , and it only happens on cineform si-2k files

sony hvr-z1

the sensor size is 1/3 inch
but since my shots are 1440*1080 (pixel aspect 1.33)
what should i take for film back inside nuke.!??!?:radar:

Changing the “set default value” on a gizmo

Hi to everyone,

this is my first post here and I hope that this hasn’t been anwered already. I searched the forum for quite a while without finding and anwers so if I’ve missed it I’m sorry 🙂

I’m making my first gizmo and I set some starting values on the slider to have a nice effect when you load the gizmo and everything is fine. The problem is when i try to set back to default with the ctrl+click.
The sliders go to 0 while "my" default value is 1.5

What can i do?
