Requirements:

Job Summary:

Our Santa Monica studio is looking for a Senior Software Developer to implement and improve our existing in-house pipeline and toolset, as well as integrate and maintain various 2D and 3D third party software applications.

Job Duties:
The position involves design, implementation, testing and debugging of productivity-enhancing tools for artists and supervisors. Additionally the role requires strong technical and problem solving skills, experience in software design, graphics, and production workflow. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are critical. Productive interaction and discussions with the rest of the development team is paramount.

Job Requirements:
– 3+ years Film and or TV production experience
– 3+ years experience in a software development environment
– Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Mathematics or comparable professional experience
– Proficient knowledge of Python, C/C++, MEL, SVN, Bash, Perl
– Significant experience with Linux, OSX, Windows, QT libraries, Boost libraries, OpenGL

Role: 2 x Snr Systems Administrators

StudioEngine AUSTRALIA is seeking 2 Systems Administrators (Mechanics) to join our growing Australian team.

Responsibilities:

Duties include the installation, maintenance and administration of:

• Linux workstations and render nodes (render farm)
• Windows and Mac OS X workstations
• Network switches
• Network storage (Blue Arc / HDS / NetApp / DDN) and associated tape backup system
• Network information services
• User accounts, email, Internet, firewall
• User support and trouble-shooting
• Applications and software – Linux, Windows and Mac OS X

Requirements :
At least 5+ years industry experience in a similar role
A advanced understanding of all relevant technologies
Strong knowledge of Linux and shell administration
Excellent knowledge of network services (NIS, LDAP, AD, DNS, DHCP)

There are currently vacancies in the Systems team for 2 x Mid Systems Support positions. The System Administrators work as part of a team providing for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure to the StudioEngine facility and its clients.

Responsibilities
• Provide technical support for VFX Artists using Linux and Windows and Mac workstations.
• Configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
