Spider-Man

Hello everybody! This is my first post here 🙂

Could anyone tell me how to make the spider man (1 2 3) opening sequence?

How do I make the webs etc?

Thanks so much

Trapcode Particular Spherical Field

I have a question about the air function Spherical Field, if there a posibility to change the circle in a form or a layer i mean with expression or something like a other technic

expressions in after effects

hi,
I am student and dont know how to write expressions in after effects, if any one here who can suggest me anything about it or give me tutorial about expression.

please hurry i am in arrgent need:o

I will be very happy if any one answer my query
thanks

Do you ever use 16 bit in your project?

I find that 8 bit and 16 bit rendering are only marginally different in render times, where 32 renderings suddenly take more than 2 times as long.

If my final product is 8 bit, does rendering the pipe in 16 bit actually make a quality difference? You know, in theory internal precomps passing results in 16 bit should build up significantly less rounding errors in the final output. But you’d say rendering would take longer.

[CS3] Single Frame render different from Video Render

I’ve noticed a few times now that render errors can appear when rendering to video, but the broken frames are fine when rendering single frame. This topic is for reporting such errors. Because if your project requires a long render time, it’s good to know in advance what should be rendered to single frames.

These aren’t user errors as the frames are fine both during noncached preview and single frame render. Render to Video is where it goes wrong somehow.

Earlier I found that rotoscoping inside subcomps sometimes causes the mask to apply itself too early or late, causing ofcourse horrible results.

Now I found another such bug. I animated the Offset Turbulence property of some Fractal Noise by the expression “[time*6000,0]”. at approximately frame 90, the noise stops animating in my video. It works fine using the script in the above mentioned topic.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

I know this is fixable by copying the path to a new mask, but I’ve had this a few times now and I don’t know why.. have you seen this?

strange Alpha issue

Hi @ all!

I have a strange alpha channel problem, maybe someone can help me.

Said first, this happens both with straight AND premultiplied rendered images. We compose in 32bit float, linear blending on. But this happens also in 8bit.

I attached a jpg to show the worklfow better.

a) I imported a rendered cube from max, exr file.

b) i extremely over-exposed in AE

c) i put the original cube on top

–> jaggy and strange edges…

solution for now:

ignore the alpha channels and at the end, a re-imported cube with alpha activated cuts out the alpha channel “on top”.

But this is not a real good solution, because if the comps get bigger and bigger with lots of reflection layers and so on, there is no simple “cut out on top” solution.

Do you have any infos how to handle this strange issue right?

Like I said, detailed pic as an attachment is inside here.

Thx a lot, Dez

Reflection Pass Slightly different result???

hi i hope someone can tell me why.. i find that the reflection pass does not seem to composite correctly as it gives slightly.. tiny.. bit…. darker result as compared to the single
beauty pass(that has all the passes rendered from 3ds max).

Layer of Composition In After Effect
1) reflection pass = add
2) Lighting = multiply
3) Diffuse = normal

Expression help

Hey guys,

I am very inexperienced with AE expressions, and have been trying to figure out a way to randomize an exposure value over time between for example “frame 10 and 34 and limit the value to not go below 0 or over .3”

I know how to do just a random over time expression but not that exact. If anyone has any insight or a link that could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

cheers,

-Jason
