Point Of View Futuristic Hud Effect

:thanks:
The only outside shot would be the android running through a field at the end, with a long lens, capturing it in CU from very far away as it crests over a bunch of small hills (so it’d be coming up into frame, dropping back down, chest-up – no need to see the legs).
Just curious whether or not something like this would even be possible if we had $10k to devote purely to the digital effects. Would we need to do mo-cap on set or in a volume, how would the pipeline work, etc.?
Anyone who’s interested in doing this, if it can be done for this much in a manner similar to Bjork’s video "All Is Full Of Love", please get in touch with me and we can discuss. Double points if you’re in the New York area, but it’s not a necessity (unless it is, you would know better than I.)
In the interest of full disclosure, I’m a filmmaker and an editor at Nickelodeon (work on two of their most popular shows). If you google ‘grey corridor’ and check out episode #2, I did that entire episode for less than $500 with a practical alien puppet and a 5" model spaceship along with after effects.

Demo Reel Shots
Posted in: Work in Progress (WiP)I thought I would post my wips for a couple shots that I hope to be on my demo reel that should be finished at the end of June.
My first shot is a zombie running after someone. Right now I have just an animatic for the placement of the zombie. I will be getting motion capture data for the run at the end of next week. While I wait for the mo-cap, I’ve been working on some lighting as well as the skin shader for the zombie. There will also be some interaction with a cone that was in the live plate. Once I have the motion capture I am planning on putting just a cube or something in the zombie’s hand with passive rigid body so that the cone will go flying as he makes contact.

My second shot I am working on is going to be a morph shot. Basically the actor is standing in a mirror and as he moves his head around, he will morph into a monster head. Right now I am working on matching the movement of the actors head so I can have a smooth morph.

Anyways, let me know what you think of the shots and I would love to hear your critiques and suggestions! I will try to keep updating my WIPs on a weekly basis.
Thank you in advance for all your help!
***As I said in my other post, for some reason Vimeo won’t let me embed unless I use this code which for some reason posts 2 videos. Sorry!! I’ll try to fix it asap.

Posted in: 3DS MaxNEW VLOG POST: Stereoscopic 3D Finishing with Autodesk Smoke PART 2
Posted in: Inferno - Flame - Flint*
I hope that you had a great week and all your productions are running smoothly.
I have posted another vlog: Stereoscopic 3D Finishing with Autodesk Smoke PART 2
Last week, I showed you how to create stereoscopic clips on the desktop and perform some basic editing. It was very similar to doing regular editing with the exception that you work with two video sources simultaneously. You can check out PART 1 at http://area.autodesk.com/blogs/discreetuk
This week, Ill cover some different workflows that can arise when working on a stereoscopic 3D production.
*
Potentially your production workflow may involve doing the editing elsewhere and *conforming the individual eyes in Smoke as a regular two layer timeline. *You can easily convert these layers into a stereoscopic timeline by following a few simple steps.
*
You will also see other tasks include editing regular material in the stereoscopic timeline and using the multi-layers in the stereoscopic timeline to do basic titling and compositing. I’ll show you how you can make a regular title and adjust its convergence on the timeline. I’ll also do a quick green screen composite with stereoscopic 3D layers on the timeline.

I hope that you are enjoying the vlogs about stereoscopic 3D with Autodesk Smoke! All feedback and requests are welcome.
