Josh Nimoy: TRON Legacy Software Art

This one’s for the openFrameworks fans – Josh Nimoy shares his documentation on the custom software created for TRON: Legacy. I’m excited for more collaborations between the openFrameworks/processing/cinder/etc. and motion graphics communities. Bonus nerd points for hacker sequence verisimilitude. (found via @golan)

Looking for insight on a how this commercial was done: Nike 360 Maestri

Can anyone give me any insight on how this commercial was done. It is the Nike CTR 360 Maestri: Take Control Andres Iniesta

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_xQ0QMvgX0

Ive scoured for information about it, and I keep coming up with very little. I know tt was done by the Mill VFX Studio, It employs 360 cameras and then processing in flame. Thats about all I know.

Can anoyone break it down for me a bit more or refer me to a link that describes the process more in detail?

Thanks,

Compositor Needed for Apocalyptic Short Film

We are looking to work with someone from to complete the visual effects on our short film BOAT. We have shot, edited and currently working with a talented matte painter to semi-finish the film. Now we’re seeking a visual fx artist and compositor to complete the final stages of CGI work, which would include 3D-simulated water to match with a mixture of greenscreen live action and matte paintings, professional keying out of greenscreen and generally combining mattes, live action footage and CGI.

We should also have a holding page for our official website by the end of next week: http://boatthefilm.com

David Lumsden the writer /director has worked on many short film projects, as well as directed EPKs for films like ‘New Town Killers’ and edited the Behind-The-Scenes on ‘Atonement’, for more detail see here: http://davidlumsden.com/

Katie Crook or Blue Iris Films has produced a successful rosta of short films, currently working on music videos, for further info see: http://www.blueirisfilms.co.uk/

Anthony Devine is our Matte Painter, a very talented artist, see here: http://www.anthonydevinestudio.com/

Cinematographer Krish Shrikumar worked on the RED to shoot this project and has recently been nominated for a New Talent Bafta Award.

We’ve attached some images below to give you an idea of the look of the film…

Trax animation Vs Animation layers

Hi folks,

I need your opinions buddies. Can we say that trax animation is obsolete now that Maya offers animation layers? How would u compare both?

I ask this because i want to advice someone to set a workflow for their production, so it is very important for me.

Thank you
