Pre-Sales Engineer

Southpaw Technology, a leading provider of production asset management solutions to the media and entertainment and enterprise markets, is looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer.
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will provide technical sales support for large media, entertainment and enterprise accounts. You will be able to create and manage the demo environment, answer any technical questions, identify customer technical requirements and generally support the potential customer through the sales cycle. You will report to the COO/SVP Sales.
Job Description
· Identify customer project requirements and tailor demos and presentations accordingly.
· Conduct demos and presentations as required by the sales team.
· Support the customer through the sales cycle especially in the critical trial phase.
· Identify opportunities for Professional Services contracts.
· Identify and report any mission critical issues that will impede a sale.
· Give inputs into the Product Management and Engineering Group for features or enhancements that are of the highest priority to attract or retain customers.
· Be an exceptional communicator with the ability to remove complexity in favor of clarity in order to find the simplest path toward the sale.
· 5+ years experience in the enterprise software, media and entertainment markets.
· Willingness to travel worldwide.
· BS/BA in Business or Engineering.
