Ana Somnia: Lights Out!

Crazy site for artist Ana Somnia … “A whole world waits for you when you turn out the lights. In our dreams, lie childish figures, random shapes and half remembered memories. Each one is different yet somehow the same. Ana Somnia is a generative art project that emulates how we dream. Dim your lights to […]

Great work from Virginia based artist Dave MacDowell … “He incorporates media culture, and social themes into brilliant and controversial satirical paintings. Working primarily with acrylics on canvas, David is not afraid of tapping into the dark side of American media worship. He tops off celebrity renderings sprinkled with crying babies, candy colored nightmares, and […]

Scripting after Effects to output Trapcode Sound Keys as data files

I’m using After Effect with Trapcode SoundKeys.

I’d like to output keyframes generated by soundkeys as text files. I can do by cutting and pasting of course, but I’d like to automate.

Is it possible to script After Effects to capture keys from each “range” or all of the EQ bars from soundkeys and then output a text file for each range?

py script for just press the reload button on every read node?

Anyway how to create a py script where after pressing the python button it has to do the reload for every read file…..

strange nuke problem

I have an EXR written out of Maya. I need to rerender it using NUKE so that its scanline. I hook up a write node setup the necessary ouputs and render. But what I get is Nuke is shifting my color values in the EXR. Why is this and how to avoid this problem?

What is the correct workflow to avoid this problem, and is there a solution in Nuke?
If somebody knows please help me out here. I have a lot of EXR’s left to render for my university project.

I am using NukeX6.07 OSX at university

VFX 403 (WIP) – Georg

Hi, peeps.

Sorry to join late. I wasn’t sure if I could afford the time to join this challenge this month. But thanks to a series of local holidays–three days in a row–I was able to do some testing with the provided footage (I didn’t make the time-lapsed capture of my work, though, as before) and convinced that I can make it in time by the 30th.

Since the challenge does not require a story. I’ll thinking of making a 15-20 sec. music video clip using different crowd scenes that I created using the footage provided.

Here’s one of the scenes.

(I wonder why some of our VFX “masters” have not joined yet.)
