Hasta La Motion!

I am trying to set up my render so each object appears on its own render pass, allowing me to control each objects appearance in post individually.

So I created a contribution map for each item and assigned a beauty pass to each. How ever when I render it, i get some very strange results.

Here is an exmaple:

This is meant to be just the sphere, but I can also see the background and the particles in my scene.

As you can tell I havent done much work with passes in the past.

I wanna know around how much a visual effects animator makes in LA.. (.. just like an average estimate i guess). The reason i ask is cuz im 20 and planning to take a 3 yr course at Gnomon that is gonna cost around 65,000… I wanna know if i should even do this. Like, if i did, would it take like my whole life to pay off the loan ill probably take out, you know? or if its worth it for the sake of education in the end. any thoughts? thanks!

(this is more about the money side of things. I pretty much know about evry school there is at this point but they’re all effin pricey.)

Areas of Responsibility:

Finance
• Supervises the financial/account unit and is the chief financial spokesperson for Prime Focus VFX.
• Assists Management team on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, and forecasting needs.
• Participate in developing new business, specifically: assist in identifying new opportunities, the drafting of prospective budgets, and cost analysis/ROI.

Accounting
• Manage overall accounting functions and prepare management reports and statistics detailing financial results.
• Manage monthly close process.
• Prepare and maintain accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations.

Other
• Helps manage all functions of cash management and treasury, invoicing and collections, and accounts payable.
• Drive the provincial tax credit processing and redemption.

Position Requirements:
• Proven track record of building strong working relationships with business partners.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA (or equivalent) preferred.
• Previous experience management an accounting department.
• Over 5 years in Senior Management role.
• Experience in VFX industry required.
