Fill object giving a hard time

Hey guys,
I have been trying to fill a human model with liquid. I just need one frame of mesh for my project but the problem is tat

1) wen i use fill object it doesn’t fill the whole model, it fills it in parts, no matter wat i do with the resolution(500) or number of particles(8000000) it stays tat way. I even tried decreasing the scale but then it doesn’t fill the object at all.

2)another thing i tried was to fill the object in Maya & then import it in Realflow & then create a mesh but then wat happens is it takes hell lot of a time to create the mesh & the created mesh in no way happens to fill the human body it bcums much larger than the model. which still can be handled to an extent if i get to create the mesh tat stays inside the model.

Please any kind of help wud be appreciated. I am trying to get the effect of the torch man from the fantastic 4. Suggestions welcomed.

Thanks.
Ashita

all the particles and comp work was done in fusion…
softwares used : photoshop, autodesk maya, fusion, after effect…

constructive critics are welcome…

Please help me with MAYA camera setting

Hi everyone

What To Include In My VFX DemoReel

:)Hey I just completed my course and I Preparing to make a demoreel and am confused what I should Include and how to approach.

Software I know: Photoshop,Maya,3dsmax,Realflow,Fusion,PFTrack and plugins for maya like BlastCode.

I am Pretty good at producing realistic renders and strong eye for compositing huge number of render layers and also an intermediate at fluid simulations in realflow and tracking in PF Track…

What sort of VFX demoreels will land us a job.

NukeX 3D tracker

I’d like to share a story of joy and happiness with everyone.
My boss just asked me to do a stabilization on 5000+ frames (Times 8 shots) of 2k stereoscopic footage.
to which I responded %@&!.
After gathering up my courage, I managed to do some 2D tracker work that … well frankly I wasn’t happy with. So I said %@&!. Then I decided that I was going to 3D track it in Nuke. So I do the track. I solve the camera. Nuke crashes. I forgot to save: %@&!. I track and solve again. I save. (In versions), I add a card and project my footages from the L&R cameras (Cam1) respectivly onto the card that remains equidistant from the camera/projectors. I make another camera (Cam2) and take samples from Cam1L to make a smooth movement that approximates the original. I save again. It all works. Nuke crashes again. I open the save file. Nuke crashes immediate upon open. %@&!
So I am stuck with one option. get very lucky and hope that nuke doesn’t crash and I can complete my shots in one session. %@&!
Which is a shame. Because apart from the fact that it doesn’t work, the technique seems to hold merit.

Anyone else having similar issues with Nuke’s 3D tracker causing saves to crash upon opening in instances of excessive frame length? OR is it just my lack of RAM?

I’m not looking for a solution or anything.. But a shoulder to cry on might be nice (Sob, sob)

Clash of the Titans – “3D”

Just got back from seeing the 3D version of Clash of the Titans.

First off… a non-technical critique… I didn’t realize that the ancient Greeks had electric hair shears on board their fishing boats to keep their hair nicely cropped to a military buzz cut.

I don’t know what they were thinking, but Perseus looked soooo out of place in that movie. He looked like a Marine in a skirt the whole time. At least Harry Hamlin had the epic locks to back up his character back in the ’81 original.

Now on to the 3D… ugh…

The movie was originally shot in 2D and then retrofitted to be 3D. It shows!

Maybe it was the theater I saw the movie at, but I swear, the ‘3D’ of the characters looked as if they took it into After Effects, duplicated the foreground layer, moved it back slightly in z-space and then said "look… it’s 3D."

Early on, there was a helicopter shot over some mountains that also screamed 2.5D flat layers in a 3D space.

The various ‘sparkly’ shots such as the first shot of Zeus up on Mount Olympus looked like an ad for GenArts Sapphire plug-in presets.

Not to completely dig on them… I did think some of the shots of Hades materializing were pretty well done.

However, the very first time we see Hades when he’s looking down at the fishing boat I could’ve sworn that it was Kevin Nealon in a Hades outfit instead of Ralph Fiennes!

What did you guys think?

Alice in Wonderland 3d tracking: why such few markers on set?!

I’ve seen Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland for the second time today, and I was again astonished of what a remarkable job has been done on virtual sets.

Watching the making of I’ve noticed that on the set there are really few (orange!?) markers for 2D tracking… someone has the slight idea of the reason why?

Look at this picture for example:
