Pellington Creates a New Morning For Alpha Rev

[NEWS=”http://www.cgnews.com/wp-content/uploads/alpha_boy_thumb.jpg”]25120[/NEWS]Merge@Crossroads’ Mark Pellington further established his big-act musical legacy with a trio of artistic videos, for indie-rock sensation Alpha Rev, Grammy-nominated mainstay Moby, and Grammy winners The Fray. Pellington approached each of these videos with his unique abstract narrative style, merging vocal performance with conceptual and thematic imagery.

Alpha Rev’s New Morning is a heartfelt collage of memory and family set among flat and forested landscapes of Austin, Texas where the band hails from. The cast of men, women and children run the gamut from serenity to tumult to mutual embrace, as the video winds through its explosive catharsis and emotional arc.

“I created these videos on a very small scale and in a highly personal manner-each was a collaboration of trust with the artist. They were open to my interpretation of their lyrics and the creative execution proved fruitful and meaningful,” noted Pellington. “I love doing videos because they are a highly personal form of expression for me, and yet can be open to many interpretations.”

Pellington is attached to direct the remake of The Orphanage for Warner Brothers and producer Guillermo del Toro as his next feature project.

Matchmoving problem

Hi guys, I have a shot that I’m having major matchmoving problems with.

Firstly, apologies, I can’t post any images so I’ll describe as best as I can.

So, a guy is standing outside tunnel entrance kind of thing and then he walks into it with the camera following. I need to replace the walls inside the tunnel.

I can get a reasonable2d track but only up to about halfway. What happens then is that all my tracking references go off the screen and I can’t offset as he is pretty much in the tunnel by then and I can’t get anything to track, it’s almost pitch black.

I’m trying to do a 3d solve but I don’t have much experience with this. I’m just trying to use the wall as a track (as when it tracks the guy the camera bounces up and down with his walking movements) but then I get pretty much the same problem with the darkness (although the start is much smoother). Is there any way to extend the camera move, like a predict track sort of thing?

Any tips on how to solve the camera better? I know this is kind of vague but any suggestions would be really good.

Doubt about simulation PArticular World and Particular

I am using particular for some works and i would like to know how i set the velocity of emission of particulars, i dont talk about the physics´s velocity that increase the distance of the particles. I am talking about the walking of the particle (the velocity that her walking on the frame).
Lately, i am time stretch the layer, but i would want a solution more simple to control this velocity. In Trapcode Particular i thought that the VELOCITY FROM MOTION was the solution, but not. Can someone help me?

Sorry for my englhis!

is it possible to read RPF camera in fusion?

is it possible to read RPF camera in fusion 5 or 6??
because AE & combustion can read that!
if it can, that would be really helpful at 3D compositing!
Thanks!
