Freelance VFX’er wanted for artist album cd ad

Hi all,

I am looking , with some urgency, for somebody to put together short tv style video advertisement for an artist album release.

After spending an evening researching how this stuff is done and getting to grips with the basics in after effects I have made a little example of the concept I had in mind.

Here is the draft artwork for the product on its own

What i was envisaging was this:
Tunnel perspective with camera movements
Particle steams extending out in this tunnel perspective as well as the graphic equalizer graphic
3d render of the album artwork (easily done from the layers in photoshop cs4 ?) with pulsating speaker cone sync’d to beat.
Nice easily done touches with Video Copilot Twitch maybe?
And some titles.
The ad will feature a voiceover from leading female voiceover artist Alex Hall (BBC Radio 1, Vodafone, Discovery channel and many more big clients) This would no doubt be a nice addition to someone’s showreel.
The project is very much a low budget affair, I would be able to offer £50 GBP upfront payment. The ad would be for internet screening only
If my design ideas are a little too grand for the fee offered I will glady accept something more modest.
Look foreward to hearing peoples thoughts

Short in OSLO

Heya!

I’m currently in the pre-production process of a dystopian, sci-fi-kinda shortflick in Oslo Norway. With pre-prod I mean the script is drafted, although everything gearwise is fixed.

I’ve managed to borrow everything we’ll need from my workplace in terms of good lighting, crane, dolly and we’ll be shooting on a PMW-EX3 with 35mm adapter.

It’s a no-budget production and anyone, either from the Oslo area or anywhere in the world that has a good enough connection for ul/dl is welcome to contribute! Offcourse if you are from another country we’ll have to do some videoconferencing about the project and I’ll send you a script and you can input with ideas etc. I’m open for any 🙂

The plan is to send it to a couple of festivals after. I haven’t projectmanaged that many vfx-shoots tbh, so if you rather work with greenscreen or just live composition you’ll have to let me know so I can start getting things ready.

If you are interested hook me up with a mail telling me a little about yourself and hopefully linking to some work you’re done.

Be well!

link transforms with gridwarp cvs

hi i am working on a shot in which i need to attach transforms to gridwarp cvs. it all works well, the problem is that nuke seems to ignore the interpolation method of the keyframes in the transform nodes. it basically only interpolates linearly but that is very bad because i need the interpolation to be exactly like in the transform node. is there a workaround or is this a bug already filed?

i’m working on a beta (5.1v3b2) and cant change the version at the moment…

greets and thanks in advance!

Forum location on hover

Just thought i’d throw it out there… It’d be nice to know where a thread is coming from on the forum front page. You know that little list of the most recently commented on/posted threads? Well, how about when you hover over one in the list, it tells you in what category its in? Like "Vfxtalk Forum > The Pad> Why Aaron Zander hates n00bs", you know, something like that, that displays kind of like an address of where a thread is located, when you hover over one of the listed threads.

Just a thought.
