Thank you.
I’ve been using Cinema 4d for some time, and quite happy with the results I get from it. However, without fumefx and afterburn, sometimes it becomes meaningless to use it.
Ok. Here is my question.
I moved do max for dynamics & simulation capabilities of it (and its plugins). However, this time it became almost impossible to create some complicated motiongraphics with it, although Im not sure if it has a plugin like Cinema4D’s [Maxons’s] MoGraph plugin, which is directly about procedural animation..
Let me ask you one example question, and how can thet be done in MAX:
[With MoGraph plugin of Cinema4D, I could create a movement depending on a waveform of a sound file (using an object called Sound Effector); which is basically getting the equilaser data and uses is as a movement input (to move, scale or rotate the 3d geometry). I want to create a similar effect in MAX; so I thouth there could be equivalent tools to create some advanced motiongraphics like it can be done in Cinema4D’s MoGraph.]
I hope this thread explains my problem well.
Time lapse Compositing
Posted in: Beginners Talkback when I was learning about 3D and concept art, time lapse videos of people working on big projects was one of the best ways to understand work flow and learn lots of tricks along the way. Just do a search on youtube with "time lapse 3D" and you get lots and lots of vids.
These are some videos that helped me the most, seeing the process from a box to animated creature. That’s something you can’t put into a training DVD because it would just be too much. Tutorials that show you how to change the sky or track a wall are nice but won’t teach you good practices or let you see where the bulk of the work is.
Are there time lapse videos of compositing work? I never saw any but I’m pretty sure they are out there.

Compositing an SSS layer
Posted in: Beginners TalkSay I have a render element of an SSS layer.
Can anyone explain what is the correct way to rebuild a comp which would include this SSS layer so it can be tweaked in post?
I started learning max. I was using c4d for some years, but the simulation capabilities of c4d is not even close to anything looking real.
Ok. Here is my main question:
I’m looking for some reactor training – from start to end (or any 3dstudio max training that covers this)
I’m also looking for rayfire and sitni sati plugins training. I mean, I want to create simulations that looks real.
As I know, I have to learn thinking particles too. So, get this as the part of the training, too..
…..Sow, where / how can .I start ? anything you can offer/advice ?
Thank you for taking time.
Stay with the light.
Thanks
