aircraft blast, cracks

hi guyz,
i m going to make a jets fighting scene and it contains jets crashing and rocket fires , blast. ets should i use tha shatter to break the jet but i think its quitetime consumeing and
i have hi resl air crafts models, or i just break the geometry into pieces manually and play with the particles and fields

FlareFactoryPlus gizmo

I’m try to give "FlareFactoryPlus" a go, but upon install I get this error when I try to create the node for the submenu:

(blank error message)

I’m on NUKE 5.0.

Also, the FlareFactoryPlus does not load any controllable parameters within its properties window, it only shows the following tabs:

Presets – contains the presets and the position
FlareFactory_Plus – contains a label field with [value ffp_presets] v .0 -dug

Anyone know why this issue is occuring?

Scene setup/Resize node.

Ok this may sound like a stupid question (I can do it in shake with the crop, resize and DOD nodes),

I am importing an image that is bigger then what i’ve set the project up to be: (which is 720×576), I want to chop the image down in Nuke, is it possible to do this without scaling?

Ram preview audio problem

This is the first time i have came across this problem. Im working on AE cs4 on vista 64 .And when i make a ram preview the audio plays back at double the speed. I have gone through the usual suspects ( creating a new file just with the audio, checking preferences, testing the file, different file formats– wav , aiff , even mp3 –) and there is no way i can spot the problem. The funny thing is that if i make an audio preview it goes at the right speed…. im completely clueless and on a tight death line.. Haven’t found anything on the web either..

I have 3 months commercial work experience working for a local Motion Graphics company doing roto/paint work for companies such as Target and Pioneer Corn. I have worked on about 15-20 professional commercials as well as other experimental glass technology they have. As well as this professional experience I have filmed music videos that have aired on TV and the internet.

My skill set includes a very strong knowledge of Apple Shake, and a knowledge of Autodesk Maya(general knowledge of particles, lighting/texturing, fluids, ncloth), Adobe Photoshop/AfterEffects/Illustrator, Nuke, Maya-Live, PFTrack, and Realflow.
