I’m very much still getting used to the plugin but any critiques/comments are welcomed.

1. There is a very strange thing about CC node. I set up this node to get the colors that I like, and move on with working on the script. After some time, this node starts to produce different colors then setuped before, and I have to change only one value( ie. saturation) by 0.001, to get the colors back. It sounds totally crazy, maybe someone knows what I mean.
2. I imported some simple geometry and camera, to render B/W masks. But AA guality is very poor, even if I set High AA quality in scanline renderer. Any way to increase AA in scanline renderer ?
3. What would be a way to make node instance ? I mean, few Grade nodes, but to controll only one, and settings would affect all of them. I suppose expressions could handle this, anyone has a example for this ?
4. Is there any database or user community that shares Python scripts for Nuke ? I’m not familiar with scripting yet, but I already would use it a couple times. A great example is ScriptSpot for 3ds users – tons of great free scripts.
Thanks for help folks!
cheers,
TAS 🙂

Tiny Inventions: “Something Left, Something Taken”
Posted in: cel animation, General, Max Porter, mixed media, paper dolls, pixilation, Ru Kuwahata, something left, something taken, Stop-motion, tiny inventions, zodiac killerOnce again, Tiny Inventions have outdone themselves. For their latest round in mixed-media animation, the Brooklyn-based directing team of Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata have created an animated dark comedy about the Zodiac Killer, in Something Left, Something Taken. The short examines the infamous, 1960′s serial killer from the viewpoint of a vacationing couple.
In this piece, Tiny Inventions leaves no stone unturned by combining stop motion, live-action puppetry, and hand drawn animation. The film also features a beautiful score that’s equipped with a charming voice-over and quirky musical breaks. Yet still, the real magic of the short comes not from the hand crafted micro-details, but from the overall quality of the work, as not only a film, but a labor of love.
For an extensive look in the creation of Something Left, Something Taken, see the Tiny Inventions blog here.
