Nuke 6 Roto Shape – Deleting Points Question.

Hey there! Quick question from a newbie compositor.

I am rotoscoping something, and trying to delete some points from my rotoshape, but only on one frame – not for the entire sequence. Recommendations on how to do this? I have tried the tool on the side that is the arrow with the minus sign, also clicking the delete button, and also right clicking and going to delete key > Shape.

Any ideas? Please help!

Best software for greenscreen compositing? (MAC)

Hi all,

A new member here and I’m asking a question which surely has been asked before, but I would like to get the most recent and updated information on this.

I would need a greenscreen composition software for Macintosh Leopard. I do editing with Final Cut Pro 7, but obviously the standard greenscreen plugins for FCP pretty much suck.

I would prefer a software which has a smooth workflow with Final Cut, but if necessary, I can export/import clips from one program to the next.

I do realize that the quality of compositing is largely dependent on the quality of the video footage. I film with EX1 in progressive mode, and I do know how to light a greenscreen setup properly.

I would need to do complex and detailed greenscreen stuff, including hair and flying debris. So I need a quality software to do this.

I have heard some good things about Ultimatte Advantedge, but it’s fairly costly with a $1500 prize tag, and I’m not sure if there are better options out there with similar, or cheaper costs.

I do think that it’s better to get a more prizey program if it helps to save time (and money) in the future, and provides obviously better quality.

I would be glad for any suggestions that people might give of good softwares.

Big thanks for your help,

Tuukka

Please help with .fbx files

Hi guys, I’m not really a Maya user since my work involves much about 2D. But I’ve found out that .fbx files are related to Maya so my problem goes like this: A client gave me a bunch of .fbx files (to be used as trackers) to take out (or paint out) an object off the scene. Problem was, the camera pans (then moves in an arc motion) focusing on the object itself. i.e. a panning bird’s eye view on a train on its tracks So, to make things easier, .fbx files were sent to me. My questions are: – Is there a way for me to convert an .fbx file into a workable file type? What I want to do is convert it to .shk since I’m using Apple Shake for now. – Aside from using Shake, can you think of other software that can convert these .fbx files to 2D space? (software at disposal include Mocha, Bojou, Silhouette FX and Shake) I’m so new to this so you are probably thinking I’m not making sense at all. Please help me out on this one. You can ask questions to make things clearer. Thanks a lot!

How to render wireframe in nuke?

I’ve pulled some OBJs into nuke, and since the project is for property development presentations, I need to render wireframe of some geometry. Anybody know how this can be done? I’ve seen this question asked in these forums as well as others since 2009 with zero answers. I’m guessing nuke can’t do this without any extensive scripting? Thanks for any replies.
