A roomful of anxious toys face the dangers of domestic dust in ‘Something’s Lurking’, a Psyop spot for LG’s Kompressor Elite vacuum cleaner. Here’s my article at fxguide in which lead 2D artist Nick Tanner gives an in-depth look at how the spot came together.
Anyone have any of these cards that could make an informed suggestion…or maybe even someone that knows of a PC card that works amazingly in a Mac? I have read that the ATI 6970 will run on Bootcamp but not on Mac side….so that would be great to have the added support in Windows…but I really want the power Mac side too…but the 5870 is a 2 year old card and at this point pretty outdated.
Also if anyone knows of a way to force Mac to work with a better card, like the 6970 or preferably an Nvidia card I am all ears!
alpha merge problem
Posted in: Digital Fusion / DFX+I’m pretty new to node compositing, I was trying to composite some fumefx with debris, rendering it separated from smoke.
I thought that using a matte material on debris (that rotates around the fume) was the good way to do it, but when I started merging channels in fusion I had this problem:
and this is the correct alpha from the beauty pass, with debris and fume in the same render:
I hope someone can help me with this problem 🙂
Thank you in advance,
Matteo

Some Of My Tests
Posted in: Work in Progress (WiP)So my question is how hard that would be.
Is it legal to do that with a turist-visum
Is it hard to get a temporary vfx-job (a few days)
Do they employ foreigners
etc
etc
I’m a 23 year old swedish compositing student, and thus have no real world working experience. But I’m perfectly capabale and willing to do rotowork.
