Export MultiPlane camera data?

Im getting a .shk script from a client that has some camera tracking data imported as a MultiPlane node. Is it possible to export this data from Shake (in, say, a .ma format) to use in another package?
No I dont have access to the original raw data before it was bought into Shake – only the .shk file.

Difficult/crumby key

Hey All,

I have some difficult footage with a blue/green background and some annoying shadows.

I know there is no magic button to pull a good key, especially when the original footage is messy. I have something to look at, but it doesn’t look at all professional. I have attached a pre/post and my key node setup. Please note that white is not going to be the final background, it’s just to show you guys.

Any pros out there with advice on how to approach a hard key? You can see I have some bad outlining on the arms. Maybe I’m just screwed by the shadows on the original footage, but let me know if you guys have any ideas on how to solve my problem. Holistic or specific answers totally appreciated.

Oh and please forgive me if my script is a sinful mess. I’m a newb.

Thanks so much!
Paul

The Other Guys – bar scene making of ?

I just saw "The Other Guys" and I’m wondering how they shot these scene:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_xGkwa6Qtw

Is something like this usually done with a motion-control camera?
Did they shoot the actors from several perspectives and then placed them somewhere in the scene with camera-procetion and rough 3d models?

Thank you in advance

Can I create event on adding "loader" tool ?

my task :
if artist added image-sequence(loader) with "_blabla_" in path name (for exmpl – c:\scene1_location34_blabla_###.exr)
then do something (add blur tool after my loader.. or like that)

artist can add sequence by :
1) manual creating loader through addTool menu
2) "drug&droop" from browser
