Cloud/Fluid Rendering problem
Posted in: MayaAny idea what’s going on here?
I can provide the project file (maya 2008) if you’d like to take a look at my settings.

I spent about an hour yesterday trying to figure out how to set keyframes for extrusions bevels etc. The reason is for a creative text animation for motion graphics. I have animated along a curve before, but for the type of motion I am trying to get I do not think it will work. I was just curious if anyone has done or knows if it is possible to animate that way in maya.
Thanks
Thanks
Any tips on achieving a photorealistic render out of Maya so it looks like nighttime? My model should be real enough, it’s mostly the lighting/specular levels and such. I’m close, but I just can’t get that UMPH-REALISM I need. I included a picture below:

Thanks!
"the display of transform nodes in the hypershade is controlled by the "transforms" flag in the object’s Atribute editor"
where is this flag ?
Ive been working on a matte painting project, which you can view –> HERE <–
The problem is that the alpha channels im plugging in for transparency on my shaders are leaving this unsightly greyish white halo around the edges of the mountains and ESPECIALLY the clouds.
IS there any way to eliminate this? I’ve tried many settings within the shader as well as using luminance – but to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.
Here is what im going for to help you to better understand the shot.
1- Create the polygon mesh
2- Convert to nurbs (comes with UV correctly laid)
3- Do the texture on the nurb mesh
I can just open Maya and do but i need your opinions and critics to foresee other aspects (advantages/disadvantages) of this theoritical workflow.
Thank you
