To cater to the rising demand for the game developers, Mumbai based studio, UnderDOGS, a game development company in support with Unity will be hosting one-day summer workshop, ‘Breaking Into Gaming Industry’ on 26 May 2019.

“Breaking into the Gaming Industry is a customised workshop for everyone who is planning to start a career in gaming as well as who have just started one,” said UnderDOGS studio founder and CEO Vaibhav Chavan in an exclusive conversation with AnimationXpress.

The one day workshop will be a game development crash course for all to understand the gaming industry and to get an idea of how to make gaming as a career option. When we asked what is the reason behind holding a workshop like this Chavan answered “A wide majority of people are fascinated by the idea of making a successful career in gaming but have no idea how to start with. This workshop focuses on exactly solving this problem. We have three core aspects that we’re including in this, firstly everything about the gaming industry and game development. Secondly fun-filled sessions about team and personality development. And finally, some guidance on Unity 3D from the experts at Unity itself as this event is sponsored by Unity.”

Though the gaming industry in India is leaping each year despite that majority of the population in India failed to believe that gaming can be an ideal career and pursuing such huge courses becomes difficult for the interested ones. Thus the studio hosting the workshop which will help the aspirants to understand the industry scene first and then decide whether they want to develop games and pursue it as a career.

“The whole idea of initiating something like this is that there are very few institutes/colleges in India that teach game design/development.  Most of them are very expensive that people can’t afford and they also are a full time like three to four years of bachelor’s degree and so on” he added

The six-hour long workshop will be chargeable and it will be accompanied by a course material as well as a certificate.

They are expecting aspirants to get a brief understanding of the Indian gaming industry scene and the way it operates. “Giving people detailed guidance on career paths to choose gaming basis the qualifications and skill set. The business of games, marketing and publishing along with the platforms and tools widely used in India to make games. Finally, some inspiring stories from the gaming industry to build up the confidence of taking the right steps ahead,” he concluded.

‘Batwoman’ first trailer receives flak on YouTube

CW has launched the first trailer for the show Batwoman, its upcoming latest entry in the Arrowverse.

Going to air alongside Supergirl this fall, Batwoman follows Kate Kane (played by Ruby Rose), cousin to Bruce Wayne, taking up the mantle after Batman goes missing from Gotham City in the midst of a crime wave. The trailer focuses on how she becomes Batwoman to rescue her ex-girlfriend Crow security officer Sophie Moore.

The trailer has received a lot of negative feedback and comments as people on YouTube are not very happy with the new series. Commenters on YouTube have downvoted as the show, according to them seems to be insulting straight sex people and white males. The trailer has 3.8 million views, over 64,000 likes, 241,000 Dislikes and over 66,000 comments.

The network officially greenlit the series earlier this month and unveiled a very brief teaser trailer. The latest trailer sets up the formula that The CW has used with a bunch of its DC adaptations: a central hero standing against crime, supported by a small team of technically minded friends and allies.

The universe also managed to bring in NBC’s short-lived Constantine for a crossover. As it joins this interconnected universe, Batwoman looks like it’ll help fill the void that will soon be left by Arrow, which will end with its eighth season this fall. The CW has been crossing these shows over regularly with big, multi-episode events, and last December, it used its Elseworlds crossover to introduce Kane and her alter ego, which brought together characters from The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl.

The CW also announced that its next big crossover event will take place this fall: an adaptation of Crisis on Infinite Earths, which looks to be the network’s biggest to date, weighing in at nearly six hours and will include Arrow, Batwoman, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, and Supergirl.

‘X-Men’: Dark Phoenix Temptation Clip Dropped

Dark Phoenix is all set to hit the theatres in a few weeks’ time. It’s a conclusion of the X-men series that is gearing up to to be a disruptive one with young Jean Grey powered by Phoenix Force, a vital, mystical entity that makes Jean both the most powerful creature on the planet as well as potentially the most formidable one even if she’s not initially cognisant of the extent of that force.

She will definitely be made aware of the powers and that’s exactly what we are treated to in this clip Dark Phoenix released by 20th Century Fox. The clip features Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) drinking while a mysterious woman, played by Jessica Chastain, discusses with her about what she’s experiencing, the force inside of her, and tries to seduce her into embracing it.

The X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe when one of their own, Jean Grey, starts to spiral out of control. During a rescue mission in outer space, Jean is nearly killed when she’s hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful but far more unstable. The X-Men must now band together to save her soul and battle aliens that want to use Grey’s new abilities to rule the galaxy.

Dark Phoenix

“Every other scene in Dark Phoenix is, like, the most intense scene I’ve ever done,” Turner said. She also spoke with Entertainment Weekly earlier about the responsibility to adequately portray the storyline.

“I knew Simon was taking me out to lunch and he sits me down and tells me it’s Dark Phoenix and I’m like ‘f—,’” Turner expressed.

“I know it’s one of the most loved stories of the X-Men universe and for Simon to trust me enough with this responsibility is a big honour. And I want to do the fans of the original story justice, and of course, there’s a lot of pressure especially having been done before. Simon would tell you that it was a B-plot of the movie and he felt it had to be the main plot of the movie,” she added

Dark Phoenix is written and directed by Simon Kinberg and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain.

Dark Phoenix hits theatres on June 7th.
