New trailer of Pixar’s ‘Coco’ gives an extended look into Land of the Dead and introduces to Miguel’s family
Posted in: AnimationWe finally get a good look at Pixar’s Coco as another trailer of the musical adventure is out. And can we say it looks mesmerising!
“Once every year, our ancestors come back to our world to see families and friends,” but no living person has ever been to their world, until.. Miguel accidentally arrives with his dog in the Land of the Dead and his unforgettable and life-changing journey begins.
After the first poster, trailer, the second poster were released, it had become clear that Coco is going to be a vivid and colourful experience. The recent trailer not only confirms that, but also adds to the magic with a treat of more beautiful visuals. Well, of course, it is Pixar we are talking about.
Coco is the story of a young boy Miguel who dreams of becoming an accomplished musician despite his family’s generations-old ban on music. It is only after he finds himself in the Land of the Dead and meets trickster Hector, that he discovers the story behind his family history.
Miguel will be voiced by Anthony Gonzalez while Gael Garcia Bernal will be the voice of Hector. Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3) serves as the director with Adrian Molina (story artist on Monsters University) as the co-director and Darla K. Anderson (Toy Story 3) as the producer.
While the animation and characters already look interesting, what seems most intriguing is the interaction between skeletons and Miguel, or the skeletons and Miguel’s dog. We anticipate a lot more though, and Pixar never lets down.
The movie is set for 22 November release.

Pokémon GO fans are in for a treat as Niantic is all set to celebrate two anniversary events. First one being the one year completion for the smash hit game which took the world by storm last year, the second one would be the celebration of Pokémon GO reaching 750 million downloads feat, globally.
However, players might be a bit disappointed during the anticipation of the event as the company has announced that they will be disabling gyms in the game for a while as they prepare for the event. No dates have been revealed as when the gyms would be going down, but the Italian and Chinese versions of the announcements mentioned 16 June as the date, which has now been removed. Over the week, on Reddit, an employee from Niantic however assured players that there would be ample notifications to the players before the gyms shut down and the Pokémons in the gyms will be returned to the players.

The Solstice Event celebrating the aforementioned feats will go live on 13 June and will give players more opportunities to encounter fire and ice type Pokémons, XP bonus and discounted lucky eggs.
The new updat will likely bring an overhaul to the gym system where Niantic will try to be “focused on collaborative group gameplay features that will get you playing Pokémon GO in fun new ways”.
Pokémon GO will also be hosting its first official physical event. The Pokémon GO Fest Chicago will be held at 22 July at Grant Park Chicago, Illinois, the tickets for which will be available starting 19 July, 10:00 am PDT.

Starting today, Goodbye Kansas Studios is the new brand replacing Fido, Bläck, Imagination Studios and Pixel Grinder, gathering all artists and producers from these under a new unified brand and company.
Goodbye Kansas Studios is where all VFX, CGI, motion capture and animation work will be conducted, by a multi-disciplinary team of renowned artists and producers, combining their extensive expertise to form a new creative structure. The studio has about 150 people, headquartered in Stockholm and with offices in London, Hamburg and Uppsala.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment unveiled a new story trailer for Middle-earth: Shadow of War, showcasing Talion and Celebrimbor as they use the power of the New Ring to forge an army and confront the deadliest of enemies, including Sauron and his Nazgul, in a monumental battle for Middle-earth. The video features a host of new allies, villains and creatures that The Bright Lord will encounter throughout this completely original narrative, which is brought to life through the expanded Nemesis System.
Set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is an open-world action RPG that continues the original narrative of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. Players will be engrossed in a richer, more personal and expansive world full of epic heroes and villains, iconic locations, original enemy types, more personalities and a new cast of characters with untold stories.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War will be available for Xbox One, Project Scorpio, Windows 10 PC (Windows Store and Steam), PlayStation 4 and PlayStation4 Pro beginning 10 October, 2017.

The CW Network, home to multiple DC Comics properties, has announced its Fall 2017 premiere dates for its entire line-up of shows, debuting on 9 October.
Supergirl will be the first DC CW show to be back, as it premieres on Monday, 9 October at 8 pm. The Flash races back the next day for its fourth season Tuesday, 10 October at 8 pm. Legends of Tomorrow will move to Tuesdays, airing just after The Flash at 9 pm.
The Archie Comics-inspired Riverdale returns on its new night Wednesday, 11 October at 8 pm.
Thursday will round out the week with two of the network’s biggest programs. Supernatural will return on 12 October at 8 pm. And as Stephen Amell let his Twitter followers know, Arrow will return on the same date at 9 pm with season six.

Zain, a Middle Eastern mobile communications company based in Kuwait, is creating waves with a counter-terrorism music video released to be viewed during Ramadan. The three-minute video portrays a would-be suicide bomber as he moves toward an attack, and the Arab community that tries to dissuade him. The bomber walks through the streets and rides on a bus, dressed in an explosive vest. He is confronted by children, including a child actor playing Omran Daqneesh, a child caught up in the aftermath of an explosion in Aleppo. The film features Nadia Al-Alami, a bride who survived an attack at her wedding in Amman that killed 36, Haidar Jabar Nema who lost his son in the the 2016 car bombing in Karrada, Baghdad that killed over 300 people, Ibrahim Abdulsalam, injured in the 2016 bombing of the Imam Al-Sadiq mosque in Kuwait. Emirati pop star Hussain Al Jassmi appears as the voice of the growing crowd, calling for a response of love and peace. While the music video has had over 6.5 millions views and been affirmed by many, there have been concerns expressed about the appropriation of the image of Omran Daqneesh who was caught up in the effects of a civil war.
