Pushing limits is nothing new. That’s precisely how performance levels trend skyward. But what if we told you there was a place, deep in the deserts of Utah, where the lines of progressive sports blur while simultaneously apexing to new, unfathomable realities of what’s possible? Enter G.G.B.Y. (Gobble, Gobble, Bitches, Yeah). The informal, annual gathering at the aptly named Fruit Bowl, outside Moab, organically draws envelope-pushers of all shapes, sizes and disciplines. Event co-founder Terry Acomb takes us through his role in the slacklining/highlining community and gives us a look at the people who make GGBY so incredible. NEWINDS 2017
Posted in: Animation
I’m very proud to present to you the poster and animation for the 22nd Vilnius Film Festival. One of the main goals here was to pay a particular attention to up and coming talents and names in this year’s festival. New winds mean new impressions that cinema brings us. They lift us higher, mess our hair and thoughts. Wake us up. And it’s not just imagery. One the one hand, it’s just a gust of wind that frizzes up your hairstyle, but it’s also, and most importantly, a new thought that is born in your head that is somewhat dramatic. It reflects the current anxiety in the world around us. It’s these echoes and images that the new winds bring to us. The winds that awaken ideas. Full project here. http://bit.ly/2mi2EUI Credits: Karolis Strautniekas- Illustration, direction, montage, frame by frame animation, texturing and postproduction. Tomas Narkevičius- Sound. Laura Klimaitė- Typography. Martynas Aužbikavičius- Cloth frame by frame animation and cloth texturing Aleksey Zinkov- 3d hair base, main hair movement. Mantas Graužinis- packshot animation.

Patreon, the amazing crowd-funding platform, has rebranded. To be involved in building something to help creators was a no-brainer, and it was a pleasure working with the Patreon team, Indhira Rojas of Redindhi, and illustrator Shawna X. This is a quick edit of elements used and some which fell just short of making the cut. ///
Memphis Design movement dominated the ’80s with their crazy patterns and vibrant colors. Many designers and architects from all around the world contributed to the movement in order to escape from the strict rules of modernism. Although their designs didn’t end up in people’s homes, they inspired many designers working in different mediums. After their first show in Milan in 1981, everything from fashion to music videos became influenced by their visual vocabulary.

TEDx Sydney: Titles
Posted in: Animation
TEDx Sydney: “Unconventional” Opening Titles “Not conventional, not bound by rule or precedent, different from what is usual, unorthodox.” To zig when others zag, think outside the box, go against the flow, break free from the status quo, make one’s own luck, and find new paths. Being unconventional often results in disruption and innovation – and in ideas worth spreading. TEDxSydney is the leading platform for the propagation of Australian ideas, creativity and innovation to the rest of the world, and one of the largest TEDx events in the world. This year TEDx Sydney was held in June at the ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour, allowing a record number of attendees into the TEDxSydney community. As a silver partner, it was an honour to contribute to the record-breaking event with opening titles, session IDs, online stings, speaker announcements, and digital signage, across formats from 2k-6k. http://sbstnc.co https://www.behance.net/gallery/54144029/TEDx-Sydney-2017-Main-Titles https://tedxsydney.com/ Director: Scott Geersen TEDx Sydney CD: Mark Stott, Common (http://common.com.au/) Design/3D: Substance Editor: Joseph Morris (http://www.joejmorris.com/) Sound and Music: Rumble Studios (http://www.rumblestudios.tv/) Special thanks to Remo Giuffré, Stu Buchanon, Michael Gie and Johnny Green
