Realtime Skin Shading in iPhone!

Hi Friends !

Im currently doing a deep research in realtime human skin tones recognition.

Im testing my realtime shaders writen in OGLSL on family of products called Krommy running on the iPhone iOS.

Because openGL ES ( mobile ) does not support 3D textures on the iOS, i need to implement a way to wap a 3D lut trough a 2Dtexture to inject de 3D Lut data to openGL shaders via an standar 2D texture.

MIXTAPE CLUB – “HELLO I LIKE YOU”

‘”When presented with the creative brief, we thought what better way to express our happiness than to distill the essence of our craft, to serve up a creamy shot of artistic espresso? So with this film, we’ve gone back to the basics: the simplest of inanimate objects, and transformed them into a tapestry of playful, choreographed dance for your enjoyment.

The goal here was simply to explore materials, themes, and techniques that have always made us happy – the things that drew us to this crazy art form in the first place. Like music. The whole process started with some simple visual experiments, and using those initial kernels as a starting point, we worked back and forth with our favorite tuneful youngsters, Huma-Huma, to develop the score for this piece. The music and the visuals evolved organically together, with each new version inspiring something in the other. We always find it particularly satisfying to develop the sound as part of the process itself.”

PHYSALIA – “INDUCTANCE”

“Inductance is the making-of for a piece that will never exist, a behind the scenes with no scenes! When faced with the challenge of creating a short under the theme of happiness, we first concluded with Gerardo del Hierro that whether the short was going to overtly address the theme or not, what we really wanted was to enjoy the process. We have always loved to share the making-of’s for our pieces, not only because we usually have fun developing tools that allow us to create them (sometimes in a very masochistic sort of way!) but because we understand as professionals that part of the enjoyment of watching a piece comes from finding out how the hell it was done.

The choice of the device to build came shortly after, spurred by some painful trial-error process and being the colour balls from the F5 logo the last inspiration spark we needed. The video is a document of how the happiest machine Physalia has built to date came to exist.”

HOLBROOKS – “VELO CEREBRUM”

Trapcode Particular OFX for Nuke crashes Fusion on startup

Hi,

I have both Nuke and Fusion installed on my Win7 x64 PC. Both are working fine, however if I have Trapcode Particular OFX for Nuke installed Fusion comes up with an error during startup as it loads C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins\Trapcode\Particular.ofx.bundle\c ontents\win64\Particular.ofx
The error given is…
Error: trapcode.particular returned kOfxStatErrMissingHostFeature for OfxActionDescribe

Clicking ok on the Error diag box continues to load Fusion, but it automatically closes as soon as it finishes starting up.

The workaround is to move or delete the Trapcode folder then Fusion opens up fine.
GenArts Monsters and Sapphire OFX plugins installed in the same ‘Common Files’ location have no problem loading at all. Only Trapcode Particular.

Does anyone know another way around this so I don’t have to keep moving the Trapcode folder? Can I force Fusion to ignore this plugin and\or error somehow? Or better still, can I get the plugin to work in Fusion? (not that I really need it to)

I’ve tried to search for answers, but all I could find was info about Trapcode Shine causing Fusion to crash if it was selected.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Cant delete nodes in Nuke

Hi,

Im just starting out in Nuke and seem to be getting the basics down ok for now, but one thing is driving me crazy. Everytime I try and delete a node I get the following message…

dependent() takes at most 1 argument (2 given)

I dont really know how the scripts work, so the information above is not helping me.

I’ve searched forums and the user guide and all I find is press delete to delete nodes or from the files menu… Neither way is working for me and all I get is the above message.

As I am just starting out in Nuke Im trying new things and I want to delete nodes to keep what Im doing nice and tidy. Things quickly get messy when I can delete any nodes. this happens with image read nodes, and effect nodes. Seems to be any type of node.

Anyone know why Im getting this message and how I can fix it?

Im using NukeX 6.2v4 on Win7x64
