My Demoreel – Please comment!
Posted in: Demo Reels!http://www.vimeo.com/21259749
This is the first time that the majority of us have worked on an animated short, we had to do it for a a group project and there were 5 of us. I was wondering what you guys thought of it, and if you could give us any tips to maybe help us improve it? This was the one we handed in, but we still have a few weeks till the final submission.
Cheers

I would like to be able to display the file being sourced in a text node.
I know I can display the currect frame in shake by using "{time}"
I also know I can display the entire sequence name of a file in using ":FileSequence.baseFile"
I would like the display the current frame being sourced at each frame of a ‘file in’ node.
It happens when you flip book an image sequence. You see the .exr /.tga displaying at the top of the flipbook.
I would like this because I’m being forced to use image sequences that are rendered every 4th or 2nd frame and having to slide a lot of stuff around. I would really like to have the option to display the image being sourced at any given shake frame.
Any help is appreciated.

I’ve done some research, and got a mixed bag of answers. Some people say we have to use a pixel/second speed that is numerically compatible with either NTSC or PAL. However, this isn’t just NTSC, it’s also going to film… Do we need two separate credit rolls?
I’ve noticed the flickering gets nastier if we shrink the video player window. However, the same does not happen if I’m playing a Hollywood movie, even in tiny 640×480 windows and smaller. Is it typical to blur out text on credit roll? I’m experimenting with Gaussian at 2.0, but I think it’s too degrading.
All we got is AE, btw. Any help appreciated!

2d version of the spot:
I’m using PFTrack and create a composition with a camera with 640x 480p.
I exported to 3dsmax and noticed that the final image is blurred, see the link on youtube:
Where am I wrong?
1) Tracked?
2) Solved?
3) 3dsmax?
4) Other?
I´m Crazy…
Does anyone here have any insight into an issue like this? or maybe a solution even.
thanks,
Matt
