Buck: Sherwin-Williams “Bees”

Poppy Flower, Poinsettia, Stolen Kiss, Electric Lime… the passion in a paint swatch. Check out “Bees”, Buck’s second spot for Sherwin-Williams. If you missed it, watch the first spot and read our interview with creative leads Orion Tait, Benjamin Langsfeld, Joshua Harvey, and Motionographer’s Jon Saunders.

For this round, the creative evolves toward a fuller, bolder narrative with ambitious bees and landscaping. The message? You, too, can have a colorful hive, people. This campaign is really smart, and so are the creatives at McKinney who’ve let Buck do their character and story thing with color swatch sweetness.

Buck is currently working on the third spot for this campaign. Stay tuned.

They are looking for a senior Flame operator for work with a international awardwinning TVC director. High end work and you must kick ass in the suite, job is scheduled to 29/6 – 6/7. Client will provide airlinetickets and hotel/apartment during the project, EC citizens prefered. Daily fee: 700 EUR, online showreel is a must.

My newly updated reel

Hey all, I tend to lurk rather than post, and to be honest I don’t get a chance to pop in all that often, but thought that while I just updated my reel with recent work that I would show it off, and this seemed a good place to do so.

I just wrapped up working at Look FX, on the final season of Lost, as well as previously working on The Pacific at Digital Dream, now Scoundrel. And both places were a blast to work at. It is definitely a great thing to be part of a fun team that contributes together well to get the final product out.

I am waiting to go in an pick up a drive with clean versions of my Lost shots, as well as a breakdown or two, but that seemed like something that was an extra bit, and it didn’t make sense to hold up getting a version up and out for people to look at.

update value evey frame

I am not quite sure what I am actually after … so I am having difficulties to to look/find anything. Maybe if I try explaining someone can give me a hint 🙂

I want to run a python script on every frame. Or feed it with some value on every frame. Updating the values live … or something like that.

For example when I hit play I want the size of a blur to be 1 on frame 1. Then on frame 2 the blur is 2. So the blur size equals the current frame.

As an expression this would be simple, but I don’t know how to do this in python.

If I do:
num = nuke.frame()
nuke.toNode(‘Blur1’).knob(‘size’).setValue(num)

Nuke then sets the size to the frame that I launch the script and keeps that value. How do I get it to update the value for every frame?

Any help appreciated
