• Caronte, a cutting-edge body dynamics solver, which offers unmatched capabilities for large-scale, complex simulations
• A highly accelerated particle-based solver, which means that simulations with standard fluids are now up to 20 times faster
• New IDOCs and the new Job Manager, which enable you to spread scenes across several computers for simulation
• Each standard license of RealFlow 5 now comes with a free copy of the RealFlow Renderkit v2 for mental ray or Renderman (Windows/Linux only)

JavaScript Help

Hello guys

i am in the proses of trying to write a plug in
just for fun i guess

my question is i am trying to write a script that will
make a shape layer and then add parameters to it like fill stroke
and modifiers

since i have absoulty no idea what i am doing
i am using the adobe scripting guide as a basis for every thing
so by sayinng : app.project.item(1).layers.addShape()

that makes an empty shape layer

but i have no idea how to add parameters to it

the script guide says

var myShape = new Shape() ;
myShape.vertices = [[300,50],[200,150],[300,250],[400,150]];
myShape.inTangents = [[55.23,0],[0,-55.23],[-55.23,0],[0,55.23]];
myShape.outTangents = [[-55.23,0],[0,55.23],[55.23,0],[0,-55.23]];
myShape.closed = true;

to make a oval but that dose not seem to work

any help ?

Exporting Nuke cameras?

Anyway to export Nuke’s cameras? Specifically, into Smoke?

Nuke newbie question

Hi, new to nuke, but been using AE for years. This is probalby one of those node based newbie questions, but here goes.

I have a track marker on an actor’s neck that needs to be removed.
My plan is to create one clean frame and track this over the offending track mark.

My workflow in After Effects would be to open up photoshop, clean the frame, save out to TIFF and track on.

I could do the same thing in NUKe, but I’m sure there is a better way to handle this in nuke.

Can I use rotopaint to clean up my frame, then create a node somehow to be just the area of the neck that I’ve cleaned up. I’m familiar with masking and mergeing in Nuke, just have no idea how I can grab, or capture the area in a clip for use as a still to be tracked back on.

I hope this was clear. Any tips, or pointers would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

K.

EPIC animated music video with colossal a stage

Download:
FLVMP43GP

Created and directed by Ben Daure
Illustrations by Tom Box
Music – Open Party “Exit_Plan” www.myspace.com/openpartyuk

The video is about a colony of resisters living under the power of the evil computer chips. Life is depressing, repetitive and meaningless. After, a lone resister discovers the horrifying secret of their existence which triggers a violent revolution.

This video was created single handed (except illustrations) and was originally going to be very minimalist, however I kept thinking that it wasn’t epic enough after each shot so I expanded again and again until eventually it became ridiculously complex to make. I made the whole animation inside of after effects, I also made the Giant stage and the light show inside of after effects too. It took 2 months to create the video from the first idea to the finished thing, but it was brilliant fun to make
Finally:
I would like to thank the Band Open Party for being so understanding and easy to work with, Tom Box for dropping everything and creating an obscene amount of Illustrations in a short space of time and Reece Jones for the Photography

SAVING THE WORLD ONE DESIGN AT A TIME.

Good design should inspire and move it’s viewers. Even better if it helps change the world. Cactus Dissney culled together some fantastic international works into a book of “socially conscious design.” From saving trees and environmental awareness, to running a marathon and walking gramps across the street, this collection should stir your humanistic duty. Luckily enough, Shilo made the list with their work for the “Burma” project. Click through to view.
