Are they permanent licenses or do they expire within a certain amount of years?

question about Furnace’s Wire Removal tool

Hi,guys.I selodom use wire removal tool of furnace in Nuke.Cause the computer may be slow when rendering if I use several wireremoval node in one script.
for example, a shot with many lines to removed.let’s say 8 lines. That means 8 wireremoval node in the script? Could I remove several lines in one wireremoval node?I didn’t find the way…..If I use 8 wireremoval node in a script, that’s a nightmare !(Rendering may last several hours….)
I know there’s other ways to remove wires in video, but learning more about furnace may do help one day.

Nuke Nodes Glossary?

So today i was learning some nuke in class, and it occurred to me are there any book out there on Nuke? or is it that new of a software that no one is an expert yet to write a book?

to be honest at the moment all im looking for is a list of all the nodes in nuke and what they do, they don’t have to be to much detail. just if i want to add grain or de-grain what are my options (thats just an example) . i do know there are also various plug ins as well. so i know that is also some consideration. all i know is im in nukeX

thanks for any help. im still kinda new at this but i want to learn as much as i can as fast as i can

Digital set replacement WIP shot

Hi everyone!

I’ve got a couple of demo reel shots I’ve been working on that I’d love some feedback on. Right now they both feel about 85% there, but I’ve been staring at them so long, I can’t figure out where to go from here.

First is this old Star Trek bridge replacement shot. I wish I’d thought this through before getting really far on it, I’m not sure using TV show material like this was a good idea.

Next is a shot I did for an fxphd challenge, but I’d love any feedback on how I can complete the shot. I think something feels off but I don’t know if it’s the grade or the texturing of my model.

Both include some simple breakdowns of progress so far.

Thanks for checking these out!
