Software Developer – Nuke Pipeline


Sony Pictures Imageworks is seeking a Software Developer to focus on our Nuke-based compositing pipeline and stereo department. Positions are located in Imageworks’ offices in Culver City, CA and Vancouver, BC

Responsibilities:
The Software Developer for the Nuke pipeline is responsible for the creation of production software and pipeline-related tools and solutions. This can include the creation of proprietary foundational tools and technology to advance studio functionality. This position requires collaboration with other engineering staff, project managers, and production users to develop and implement innovative studio capabilities. The Nuke Pipeline developer will work closely with the compositing and stereo departments.

Required Skills:

Experience programming in C/C++, Python
Knowledge of compositing, lighting and studio pipeline development
Experience writing image and/or geometry plugins in C++ in Nuke or other compositing package
Good communication skills and an aptitude for working in small teams
Desired Skills:
Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience with UNIX / Linux
Knowledge of 3rd Party graphics applications (e.g. Maya, Houdini)
