Can anyone vouch for the Escape studios VFX online mentored course? i.e., has anyone gotten a placement at a studio after its completion?
I’m looking to take the course in August after deciding against taking the classroom course primarily because the price is too high!
I’m just concerned that looking at their success stories on the site there is nothing from people that have completed the Mentored Online course for VFX…
Any info would be great.

The faculties at my school are advising me to move to roto or match move sections where jobs are in huge numbers but should i apply for a roto post or a match move post as a fresher or there are other positions for someone who wants to do simulations.
this might be a naive question but i am seriously confused by the response of my institute.

What do actually belongs where? What is used to incorporate 2D animation into a larger shot? What is used for the final editing of a movie?

the above are essential anything else would be of secondary importance although ability to change lenses would be an excellent plus as would great low light capabilities and with lowest compression possible.
My ideal camera would have been the Sony F3 35mm camcorder but my budget goes nowhere near it. I need to be able to pull good chroma shots with it.
any suggestions, advice, anecdotes or links to start me off in my search?
