3D Nuke Compositing: Getting Started?

I have a solid background in 3D Software (Maya, Max, Rhino, etc), rendering (Mental Ray, Vray), and composting those 2D channels in nuke. The "only" part of nuke I don’t understand is the 3D nodes. Once I get past the basics, understand the general workflow, I shouldn’t have much difficulty from there.

What are some good tutorials or resources for getting started with basic nuke 3D composting?

xbox 360 problems

This has nothing to do with visual effects or compositing, but if there is any group on the internet who knows video games, it would be the vfx guys.

My xbox 360 has develop a problem where no video goes through into my tv. Audio is fine, it spins up, there is no red ring of death, but there is no video. I borrowed a friends cable, and tried it out, nothing. I tried a different input, nothing. The cable is fine. The xbox is messed up.

I’m WAY out of warranty, and actually bought the system with cash from a friend, so I’m stuck trying to fix it myself. I can build PCs, but I’ve never taken an xbox apart and would like some help with this.

I tried looking online and found that the no video issue requires the same fix and the RROD issue. But everywhere I look I find links to repair guides you need to buy, or poorly done youtube clips, or step by step guides that are more text than pictures or videos.

Help!! A VFX guy without his video games is like… Michael Bay, without his ritalin.

SCAD

Well to start off, let me introduce myself. My name’s Dayna, and I am a high school student. For the last few years I’ve been very interested in 3D and VFX and I’ve decided that I would like to study VFX in school.
I would like to attend a 4 year school because I have no experience in 3D, (besides a little over a year of modeling in a CAD program for school.) Therefore, schools like VanArts or VFS probably aren’t best suited for me. Plus, I’d like to not be completely married to my computer for a year straight.
So, I’ve read about SCAD and it sounds like a good school for VFX, (although I’m aware that you get out of art school what you put into it). However, I still don’t know much about it. I was hoping that some SCAD alumni or people who know about the school could give me some information on the VFX program.
Also, I’m a little worried about SCAD because it is an art school. The first year is foundations year and I can’t draw to save my life. Will this majorly impact me if I attend?

Any information would be appreciated.
