Overall Purpose and Objective

The Stereo (3D) Compositor is responsible for combining live action and computer generated elements by using various techniques to artistically blend together elements and ensure each shot is a seamless stereoscopic image.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform all tasks associated with the compositing process: incorporating roto, matte extraction, layering of elements, color correction, 2D and 3D tracking
  • Ability to perform digital matte painting, texture painting, or paint
  • Integrate cg elements and matte paintings into live action or CG Animated plates
  • Take creative direction from leads and/or stereographer
  • Present work clearly in dailies and walkthroughs and respond to supervisor in a timely fashion
  • Work with other 3D Depth Artists to convert 2D media into high quality Stereoscopic 3D on a timely basis


Job Requirements

  • Must have thorough knowledge and ability to use Nuke and Photoshop
  • Familiar with Rotoscopy, particularly Silhouette and Mocha Pro
  • Excellent understanding of VFX and stereography
  • Ability to understand and interpret the creative requirements in order to create an accurate representation of stereoscopy
  • Linux knowledge a plus
  • Ability to take direction and structure working practice so that design changes can be efficiently made
  • Desire to learn from others and to take on increasingly challenging shots
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must have excellent binocular vision
  • Accredited post secondary school compositing course or equivalent a plus
  • 2-4+ years of previous experience in VFX compositing, 6+ months of stereo conversion experience

We are currently seeking a Systems Developer to join our Software team to develop and maintain tools to help manage our critical technical resources. Working closely with our team of top-notch systems administrators and developers you will work on projects such as managing hundreds of TBs of high performance storage, increasing efficiency of our render farm and improving management of our overall systems operations.

This role would suit an experienced system administrator looking to take on a development role, or an experienced developer wanting to get more involved in system operations.

Key Tasks/duties:

·Work with the Systems and Software teams to develop, maintain and support in-house tools with a particular focus on data management ·Ensure systems software can continue to scale reliably ·Help drive the strategy for our in-house system operations tools

  • Troubleshooting issues that affect production
  • Help identify upcoming business requirements, recommend and implement solutions, and provide input for the design of next generation technology.
  • Maintain documentation for in-house software

Essential Skills and Experience:

Key Tasks/duties:

·Maintenance of production, development and test databases
