Software Developer – Shaders
Culver City, CA or Vancouver, BC
The Shader Developer role sits in the development group and will be responsible for the creation and support of shaders and associated support technology related to and in support of production driven needs.
Responsibilities:
Design, program and support shaders
Problem solving and developing improved rendering efficiencies
Create and support UI for artists, providing tools for user-friendly controls
Design, develop, and maintain proprietary scripts used in production when necessary
Qualifications:
2-5 years of production shader writing experience
Good understanding of production workflow and requirements
Ability to problem solve and communicate well with coworkers at all levels of experience
Experience in C++ shader writing required
Production experience with ray tracers highly desirable
Linux scripting experience, especially in Bash/Python, highly desirable
Degree in CS, or related program desirable
