Emmy award nominated visual effects company in Culver City, CA has an immediate opening for an experienced VFX Coordinator.

We create 3D and 2D content for feature films, commercials, theme park attractions, and corporate communications.We are looking for a candidate who can efficiently manage and organize current projects and artists’ time, while being able to communicate directly with clients in a highly professional manner. The VFX Coordinator is responsible for the management and distribution of information during projects, as well as maintaining a smooth workflow with our satellite office in Michigan when applicable.

Applying candidates must have at least 2 years of experience working as a VFX Coordinator in a fast-paced environment, as well as experience with a wide variety of projects.

Duties & Responsibilities Include:
·Assist VFX Producers and VFX Supervisors in all management and coordinating responsibilities.·Maintain all schedules, contact sheets, work orders and job actuals.
·Keep VFX Supervisors informed on all schedule changes and important information pertaining to each project.
·Accurately record notes during dailies & rounds pertaining to artistic, technical and logistical information for all shots; enter them into an internal database and make sure that information is dispersed appropriately amongst the artists.
·Coordinate the schedule for artists to address notes with VFX Supervisors.
·Track shot progress and interface with artists, VFX Supervisors & VFX Producers.
·Coordinate and track all deliveries, including FTP uploads and downloads, as well as all physical shipping and receiving.

Qualifications
·Must have strong leadership skills and be able to act as an effective liaison between clients and artists, as well as with other departments in the company.
·Must be proactive, detail-oriented and highly organized.
·Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and FileMaker Pro.
·Must have a clear understanding of all aspects of the visual effects process/pipeline and a basic knowledge of editing & visual effects software is preferred
·Must have a friendly, positive, professional attitude.
·Must be a team player and juggle multiple tasks when necessary.

Seeking experienced freelance Texture Artist for various short-term contracts:

– minimum 3-5 years experience creating photo realistic textures and other related maps or images for mapping onto 3D objects for large commercial campaigns, and/or feature film work
– ability to take direction and structure working practices, often with multiple tasks and compressed deadlines required
– eye for detail, strong communication skills, and problem solving skills are a must
– must be local LA resident

Zooppa was asked to host the "Human Highlight Reel" campaign by Buick and the NCAA in order to promote March Madness. It is a two-part $20,000 competition with a $5,000 Early Entry Prize (Early Entry Prize ends 3/30/11; contest ends 4/22/11)! Buick and the NCAA are looking for a short story (60 seconds or less) of a former NCAA athlete (of any sport). So if you are a sports fan or like making documentaries (or both!!), then the "Human Highlight Reel" is perfect for you!

In your job as compositor, you will be part of our 2D Compositing Department, wich is responsible for the fine tuning of photo-realistic moving images. You work on the Image Retouching, Set-Extensions, CG-Integration and Color-Grading. We offer you an exciting environment and plenty of opportunities to grow and develop your talents.

About you:
You are professional in Compositing and Color-Grading and have a great attention to detail. In your previous work experience you managed to gain practical knowledge in some Node based Compositing Tool (preferably Nuke), which you can prove by your work examples. It would be a plus if you are also familiar with a 3D Software like Maya and Shell-Scripting like Python. Your English is very good and you feel comfortable in an international environment.
