We currently have an opening for a Pipeline Developer. This position will be located in Hollywood, CA.
Job Summary
This position involves:
Design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of tools such as, but not limited to, a shot tracking solution for VFX artists, producers, and supervisors.
Development of plug-ins, applications, and scripts for third-part software such as, but not limited to, Nuke, 3D Studio MAX, Flame, Fusion, and After Effects.
Development of stand-alone tools.
Development of tools that help integrate our VFX and Post-Production Departments.
This role requires strong technical and problem solving skills, experience in software design, post-production and VFX workflows. We are looking for a team player that has initiative, talent for thinking outside the box, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Job Responsibilities
Design and develop software to address evolving VFX and post-production demands.
Design and develop scripts for VFX applications that streamline workflows.
Help maintain existing workflows and tools.
Provide the artists with support and assistance with scripts and in-house software.
Draft technical and user documentation.
Build relationships with key artists and producers.
Research, design, implement, test and optimize pipeline tools.
Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge in relevant fields.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 4+ years of development experience.
Python, PyQt, PyUnit, Javascript, HTML, CSS, MySGL, PHP, C# (.NET Framework 4.0), NUnit.
Production knowledge of Shotgun, 3DStudio Max, Nuke, Deadline, Python and MEL required.
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
Proven experience developing in a UNIX/Linux environment.
Experience with technologies relating to GUI design and content or asset management an advantage.
Experience in the design of process management and collaborative workflow software across a distributed environment.
Previous experience in post-production and VFX for television a major plus.
