England, 12th century: Philip the monk becomes Prior of the small abbey of Kingsbridge. At the same time, a boy called Jack is raised by his outlawed mother in the woods. His apprenticeship as a stonemason paves his way to become a great architect. Soon, his steps lead him to Kingsbridge where he will build one of the greatest cathedrals England has ever seen. Aliena and Richard have to survive on their own, after the sibling’s father, the Earl of Shiring, has been incarcerated and murdered. Aliena vows to make her brother the rightful heir and Earl of Shiring. Like Jack, their way leads them to Kingsbridge. Aliena puts her expertise as a tradeswoman to good use, supporting the cathedral’s construction and falls in love with Jack. But Kingsbridge and its people are in grave danger. Philip’s rivals, Bishop Waleran and Wiliam, a vengeful noble rejected by Aliena, see the town and its rise to importance as a thorn in their flesh. They want to see Kingsbridge burn.

The game-adaption of the world-bestseller “The Pillars of the Earth” is the first co-operative project of Daedalic Entertainment and Bastei Lübbe. This game will be more than just complementary media to the book and will instead retell the story in a new, interactive way. A team of more than 35 people works to create a multi-platform adaption of this bestseller. Daedalic is the only studio at the time adapting such an epic reading-experience into an interactive format.

The game itself will be released in 2017, at the same time the third novel of the Kingsbridge-Series will be published. The game will be internationally available for PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, Xbox One and mobile devices.

How To Keep Growing Up

We have a very close sense of the stages of development of small children. But what about adults? How do we keep developing once we are ‘grown up’? And what are the key stages of development? If you like our films, take a look at our shop (we ship worldwide): https://goo.gl/uTwLbM

“The business of growing up is something we normally think comes to a close when we get to 16 or so – and finally turn into those fully finished products: adults.
Up until then, our growth is the subject of quite a lot of collective fascination. Twentieth-century psychology, beginning with the work of the Swiss clinician Jean Piaget, pioneered an approach to child development that meticulously identified and labelled every principal stage an average infant might go through on the developmental journey of its earliest years…”

Surviving Kensington :: behind the photos of 'Kensington Blues'

What used to be a proud blue-collar neighborhood in Philadelphia is now a deteriorating haven for drugs, crime, and prostitution. Kensington is famous for the place to get your fix; and for the place you end up stuck when you’ve let your vices get the best of you. For the last five years, Philly-based photographer Jeffrey Stockbridge has been taking intimate portraits of current residents (‘survivors’) in Kensington. But the stories he finds here aren’t just about Philly: Jeffrey’s photographs and raw interviews show a side of the desperation, hopelessness, and broken dreams that plague America’s addicts across the country. Through a walk with Jeff on the Avenue, we get a glimpse of what it’s like to survive on Kensington. See more stories from Kensington here: kensingtonblues.com ………. SMELLY SOCKS I 3.1

Smelly Socks 3.1 is, unrotunately, the one and only Smelly Socks webisode this year. Simply for two reasons: We have zero budget for this and Daniel hurt his knee. But this doesen´t mean Smelly Socks are done! We tried hard and made at least one this year. And we will try even harder to bring you more Smelly Socks edits in upcoming season, so don´t be sad and stay tunned! This particular time for 3.1, we visited Absolut park Flachauwinkl in Austria. Daniel, Antti and Martin drove with Dan´s sketchy 1998 VW Golf literally overloaded with all kinds of classic shit like bags, skis, filming equipment…But also pretty gross shit, like a mixture of candies and leftover snacks on the floor, which at some point, mixed with melted snow, became some sort of nasty „candysauce“ as we called it, while Martin was constantly complaining about Daniel driving too fast and too furious. We drove about 6 hours from Czech Republic to Flachau where we all stayed at Matthias Krallinger´s amazing house in the middle of the mountain – he even has his own miniramp in a basement, where we had nice afternoon sessions after skiing with beers and a good music. Overally we had 4 days to film the edit. But as it usually is the weather didn´t really cooperate, so we had 1 day off and stayed home. That left us 3 days to work with. Unlike the bummer day at home, those other days luckily worked out perfectly for us! We had 2 days of sun that we used in a park and even one deep powder day! Where Daniel and Antti tried to be like The Big Picture guys and hit cliffs and stuff on their centermounted park skis, doin countless tomahawks, calling it the best day at work ever pretty much after each hit. At this point we were also joined by everyones favourite Zuzička Stromkova, and she was sending the cliffs with dem boyz like there´s no tomorrow leaving Daniel and Antti speechless! Daniel dropped his first cliff ever in his life and Antti was killing it as usually on his 1.0s – for example his massive nosebudda dub 10 out off totally fucking nowhere speaks for itself. The rest of it you´ll see in the webisode. So sit comfy, blast your volume and enjoy the rock´n´roll! We would like to thank: You as an audience – without you, we wouldn´t be able to make these. Matthias Krallinger and his family for letting the smelly crew stay at his place. Berndt Egger – Absolut Park manager Martin Bernard for doin this because of his passion. The crew for amazing experience and everyone else we´ve met and skied with! Cover photo: Erik Tomasak Music: Thee Oh Sees – Contraption-Soul Desert Filming and editing: www.martinbernard.net

‘Shaun the Sheep’ enters virtual reality space with Movie Barn VR app

With virtual reality opening gates for a more immersive experience of films, animated shows and games, a lot of brands have started experimenting in this segment.

Aardman have released their first ever Aardman character VR (virtual reality) experience, Shaun the Sheep Movie Barn VR (app). The free app is available to download from GooglePlay and the App Store and viewable through light mobile headsets, such as Google Cardboard.

Shaun’s Movie Barn is a fully interactive and immersive environment. Fans can sit alongside Shaun, Shirley, Timmy and the flock in a 360 movie theatre, and relax while they view Shaun the Sheep clips. The baa’s, bleats, and cheers all add to the fun and users can interact with their fleecy favourites while exploring the Mossy Bottom barn from the comfort of their own hay bale.

On the announcement of this new VR experience Shaun the Sheep’s creator, Richard Starzak said, “’Oo-arr!! Shaun’s in VR! It’s so exciting to see Shaun and the Flock enter the virtual world! Join the gang in their barn on Mossy Bottom Farm, sit amongst them and enjoy the film show. (Don’t sit too close to Shirley though!).”

Shaun the Sheep Movie Barn VR should be enjoyed under adult supervision and will also showcase exclusive content from the studio, such as film trailers and fun animated shorts which will screen ahead of classic episodes. Limited edition Shaun the Sheep branded headsets are also available at Aardstore.

Infused with D-Day imagery, ‘Call of Duty: WWII’s first trailer gives you glimpses of iconic WWII battles

Call of Duty has been and will be one of the most iconic titles from the FPS genre, there’s no doubt about that. After around 14 titles to its gamut and a few ports and exploring war from the World War era to space battles in the recently released Infinite Warfare, the game set standards for the FPS genre.

The last instalment of the game took us into the heart of a space battle, and later the company had dropped hint that the upcoming stint would be taking us back to its roots and as the trailer has dropped, it fits quite well.

Call of Duty: WWII brings to life some of the most iconic moments of World War II, including the D-Day Invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge,” read a release from Activision.

Titled Call of Duty: WWII, the game is projected through the eyes of Ronald “Red” Daniels, a rookie Private in the United States Army, 1st Infantry Division. The game has been developed by Sledgehammer Games, which was formed by former associates of Visceral Games, known for its sci-fi series Dead Space.

The upcoming game has pretty sleek graphics but not much might be different from its initial edition titled Call of Duty which came out in 2003. There might be new features or little tweaks to the gameplay.

The game is slated for a 3 November, 2017 release over PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No announcements were made to clarify if the title would be coming to Nintendo Switch.
The game is already available for pre-order in the following editions:

Base Edition and Digital Base Edition

Digital Deluxe Edition – Season Pass and more

Pro Edition – Season Pass, collectible SteelbookTM and more

Disney’s ‘Frozen 2’, ‘The Lion King’, ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ and ‘Indiana Jones 5’ get release dates

Disney has announced release dates of some of its highly anticipated movies, and fans will have to wait for two years long.

Jon Favreau’s remake of The Lion King will arrive on 19 July, 2019. The director took to Twitter in order to confirm that his upcoming live-action remake has locked down a release date. Putting it subtly, he just posted an emoji of a lion and a crown, with an image of the release date.

The Lion King will use the same technology as The Jungle Book to bring animals and environment to life, but without any actual human characters involved. The voice cast of the movie includes Donald Glover (Simba), James Earl Jones (Mufasa), Seth Rogen (Timon) and Billy Eichner (Pumbaa). Beyonce is reportedly the top choice to play Nala but there is no confirmation yet.

The most loved animated movie’s sequel has been frozen for 27 November, 2019. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale ‘The Snow Queen’, Frozen told the story of Princess Anna’s quest to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers had trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

Disney Animation announced the release date of Frozen 2 on its Twitter handle. While Frozen 2 will take two more years to be out, fans can enjoy the Broadway musical of Frozen in the spring of 2018. Plot details of the sequel are still under wraps, but the original voice cast will be back.

The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm announced two another major release dates. The ninth episode of the Star Wars saga is slated for a 24 May, 2019 release. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, Star Wars: Episode IX will close out the third Star Wars trilogy.

In addition, the fifth chapter of Indiana Jones series is now confirmed for a 10 July, 2020 release. Both Steven Spielberg, director of every Indiana Jones film, and star Harrison Ford are set to return.
