Direction of real wave Splash
Posted in: RealflowI’m very curious about realwave object splash. I’m testing out with a simple bird model diving into the sea. There are tons of particles being emitted downward into the sea and not so many emitting upwards into the air…. Is there a way to force it to only go above the sea? Right now I’m using the volume to kill off particles going below, but it seems such a waste of particles : /

i’m playing around with the PositionToPoints node. so far i’ve rendered a beauty pass and a position pass from maya and connected everything to the node. everything works fine when i’m in nuke’s 3d-view. but when i’m rendering my scene with a scanline renderer it seems that i can’t control the point size any longer. what am i missing?
thanks

Here’s my latest film, a 2min20sec (vfx) Sci-Fi short film done for the UK’s Virgin Media Shorts competition.
From conception to delivery it took me 1 full month to complete on my spare time!
Enjoy it and feel free to drop a comment on the following webpage.

Quicktime on nuke (Windows)
Posted in: Beginners TalkWith these drives though I am not sure what I should have where. Are the benefits of using separate drives minimal when one drive is so much faster? Should I just install everything on the m4 or should I put win7 on the 80gb drive and install all my software on the m4? Currently I plan on installing the OS and all my software on the M4 and using the 80gb ssd to read from and output to the 2tb drive.
256gb crucial m4: read:415mb/s write 260 mb/s
80gb intel x-25m read:250mb/s write : 70mb/s
