create motion blur in freeze frame

Hi all, I was wondering if it is possible to create motion blur for objects in a freeze frame. it’s a bit like the philips carousel film, obviously not that long, it’s just a pan from left to right. But I would like to apply motion blur to certain objects in the scene.
I was thinking about shooting those objects separately as stills, apply motion blur in photoshop and then comp them together.
any ideas?
