Sassoon Film Design is seeking experienced After Effects Compositors for 2D to 3D conversion.

Minimum 3 years After Effects experience is required. Experience in stereoscopic 3D and/or 3D program skills a plus but not required. Must be detail oriented and have a good work ethic.

Compensation depends on experience ($20-$35/hour)

Junior compositors should have experience with roto/paint and matchmoving with either a strong recent-graduate demo reel or 1-2 years of hands-on production experience. Mid-level compositors should have 2-4 years of experience doing 2D or, preferably, stereoscopic compositing on high-profile feature films. Senior compositors should have at least 3 stereoscopic projects completed in addition to 5-7 years of experience doing complex multi-layer compositing with CG and live action elements, and knowledge of 3d multi-pass rendering techniques and colorspace concepts. its probably been asked a thousand times but…

To make this short Im going to be using a CCD for filming and 3d tools for the vfx. But the footage this camera takes only looks good if it stays uncompressed. So will compositing vfx into the shot bog down the quality from the uncompressed footage? Is there any way to put the 3d effects into the shot and maintain the sharp picture quality?

any advice is appreciated thanks.
