Does the adage ” if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mean anything to anybody any more?! Word broke out that Disney is working on re-making “Yellow Submarine” for a release in 2012. Just because Wall-e was awesome doesn’t mean you can make better the beautifully animated and trippy escapade George Dunning created for the Beatles. You can try to prove us wrong Disney, but we’re not counting on it.

This is designed to provide the very highest quality and resolution, enough to suit even the most demanding projects
The CGI department is involved principally in the production of commercials, and occasionally broadcast and short films. It is also involved in the CG aspects of Aardmans Features slate.
You will be expected to provide support across the department in lighting/rendering and shading. Setting up lighting/shading workflow and providing complete lit shots on all CGI productions including commercials, short films and stings.
You should be highly proficient in Maya (Mel, Python) and Renderman (SL,RIB,RMS) and must have experience in a production environment. You will also need proven compositing skills (After Effects, Fusion). Experience in other areas of CG production would be a bonus.
You should be highly creative in both technical and artistic problem solving, with a positive and pro-active approach. Wed also expect you to be supportive and team focused , with strong communication skills
