You may have guessed by now that we are slightly fixated with Karl Lagerfeld. Ever since his impersonator showed up at our Phonebooth party we’ve been trying to work out the meaning behind his leathery visage making subtle cameos in all our work. It’s similar to the self-referential theme that had Hitchcock standing in to pump gas or make change in all of his films, except that would only truly make sense if we actually WERE Karl Lagerfeld. Are we? Is he the man behind it all? Pushing buttons? signing checks? Does he fund We Make It Good? He did famously say that if he weren’t a fashion designer then he would be in advertising. Are we in advertising? Are we making art and calling it advertising? We have no answers for these questions as of yet but keep checking back to see if we’ve gotten any closer to working it out.
My wife Liz, who is currently art directing slash designing at Tank has (finally) started a blog/site to show some of the work that she’s been doing for the past 4 years.
Christian de Portzamparc’s Musée Hergé feels like an intricately origamied newspaper page from the Sunday funny pages. Laced with beautiful details taken from Hergé’s timeless aesthetic that are both big and small, the museum will “highlight Hergé’s life and work through cultural facilities, permanent and temporary exhibition areas, and a video projection room.”

WMIG is currently seeking interns. Please apply if you have, or are seeking, a degree in English / Communications and consider yourself saavy in the world of social networking. You should generally know a thing or two about culture, art, and music and feel comfortable with a lot of writing, clicking, and some production. WMIG is a small, cozy company with few employees, which means this position would have you working side by side with the founding creative directors on everything from film production to curating wemakeitgood.com to producing events and plenty more. This is a non-paid internship, however we do provide college credit. Applicants must live in the NYC area and be able to commit to at least 3 full days a week. Applicants should also be detail oriented, highly motivated and eager to carve out a niche in a fast paced environment.
Please send a resume, cover letter, and 2 writing samples to info@wemakeitgood.com.
Lets say I use a Red One camera, 2k resolution, average number of edits, in the Atlanta, GA area.
Any info would be greatly appreciated,
S.
(I’ve thought about giving up on this whole 3d thing.. Im 33 and living like a freestyle 20 year old… gotta keep goin tho… someone out there has it worse! :))
–I’ve gotten a few replies already from what were potential clients who all said they really liked my reel (yes, shocking I know) but I soon lost the job opportunity due to I didn’t live in the area and didn’t have the money to relocate. So if anyone has any leads, possibly or any advice, shoot! Thanks a lot.
–I know I separated all my works into individual categories, but it seemed what I needed to do in order to show the “generalist” theme.
(not sure how the quality from youtube is gonna be but I have it on my site for clients)
