Onitsuka Tiger: Zodiac Race

The Onitsuka Tiger is back to celebrate it’s 60th anniversary, a milestone of major significance to Japanese culture that is laden with symbolism around the “Cycle of Life”. As a result, Amsterdam Worldwide has created a campaign to celebrate the Zodiac Legend of the race of the sacred animals to secure spots on the Zodiac calendar.

pandapanther

Tapped for the Zodiac Race was New York studio, PandaPanther, who once again prove that they are the class of the character design/animation studios. Setting their animation around the hand built Zodiac Race sneaker diorama (that will be on tour in Europe, Asia, Australasia and the USA in selected trade and fashion shows), PP seamlessly mix their trademark cg characters with the environment and polish it off with touches of cel animation. Not to be forgotten is the audio mix that successfully brings all these characters to life and gives just the right touch of odd to make it all work.

Make sure to watch this making of video to see how the shoe was planned, built and worked from for this animation.

Onitsuka Tiger: Zodiac Race

PANASONIC NV-GS330 is this perfect camera for make show reel?

the given below details is the information about this camera..
I want to know that, this camera is perfect for keying?
Can we able to do all kind of visual effect in this camera footage?
i am asking not for professional its only to make my show reel..
anybody help me please….

High Picture Quality
The GS330 features O.I.S. and the 3CCD camera system. O.I.S. minimizes hand-shake, and because it’s an optical system, there is no quality loss. The 3CCD camera system is used in most professional broadcasting equipment because it draws out the full potential of the camera’s high image quality.
Shooting Functions
A joystick control makes the camera much easier to use, letting you control all basic operations with one hand. And Quick Start mode helps shoot videos on the spur of the moment.
Editing / Networking
USB 2.0 compatibility lets you upload DV data to a PC at high speed over a single USB cable. And with DV editing software, you can make home movies with quality so high, you’ll enjoy watching them again and again

Bryan Woods – 2008 Reel

Demo Reel 2008 from Bryan Woods on Vimeo.

A collection of work from 2008. Compositing, Matchmoving, and Motion Graphics.

So here’s my work from 2008. The only piece I’ve ever submitted to VFXtalk for critique was the Blade Runner comp. So I’m excited to show off the rest of what I’ve been up to.

I’m satisfied with all of the work, however I’ve since been picked up by an instructor of mine, and I am working on independent films comping elements, doing blemish removals, tracking object, etc. Its great experience and I’m having a blast with it. I’m not particularly looking for a critique for any of this work because its all “school work” and nothing professional, however I don’t discourage it. I’m now on track working with professional projects and will start a new portfolio without the school stuff once I’ve worked on enough projects for sufficient portfolio footage.

Enjoy!

Uv pass and Texture map in post?

I have uv pass from the 3d software but I want to map a texture and manipulate it in the post? is it possible any node for that? to map pixel from one image to map pixel to another image?

Fusion: long sequences?

I’m thinking of evaluating Fusion, it really looks like it can do all the things I need.

However, my main workflow consists of getting several thousand frame image sequences from the Avid editors and then I deal with the whole timeline. Once I get it, I usually split it up by scenes (within the composite’s timeline), then do what vfx/grfx are needed scene by scene. Render the whole thing back to a Quicktime and hand it back to the editors.

Toxik can only handle one scene at a time, and as extremely appealing as it is, being able to only deal with one scene at a time will probably be a deal-breaker for me.

Is this also true for Fusion?
