The Technical Operations team provides a range of technical services to artists including show setup, render wrangling, data management and shot ingestion and delivery. As a TD on the team, you will primarily be responsible for the diagnosing of problems in any of these areas and providing quick fixes and work arounds as well as feedback to the software development teams for feature enhancements and bug fixes to the tools.
This is a fast paced environment that requires energy and quick thinking. You will get the chance to apply all your technical skills to find creative solutions to technical problems.
You will also be involved in developing automation scripts and tools for the department and have the opportunity to participate in the further development of the core tools the team used, fixing bugs and adding features.
This is an entry level position that will give you exposure to the full range of disciplines within the facility with the potential to lead to further development or TD roles.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Python
- Ability to find your way around a linux command shell and bash scripting skills
- Experience applying command line tools such as ‘find’ and ‘sed’
- Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills
- At least 1 year experience in VFX
