Gnomon School – Admissions Assistant

Gnomon School of Visual Effects, a private vocational school specializing in training for careers in high-end computer graphics for the entertainment industries, is seeking an Admissions Assistant.

Duties/ Responsibilities include:
• Work in conjunction and support the Admissions and Marketing departments to coordinate student recruiting events.
• Develop and maintain a database of high school, junior colleges, art schools, State Colleges and Universities. Record names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects contacted.
• Contact schools, businesses or private individuals by telephone in order to solicit sales for Gnomon’s products and services.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to identify and recruit outstanding prospects to Gnomon. Ability to track sales progress.
• Assist to raise the visibility of Gnomon’s programs among candidates, parents and college counselors.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Explain products or services and prices, and answer questions from customers on campus or via phone.
• Conduct client or market surveys in order to obtain information about potential customers.

Qualifications:
• 1-3 years successful sales / customer service experience.
• Exceptional communication, written & verbal. Excellent people skills and enjoys constant interaction with customers.
• Ability to self-manage and problem-solve.
• Extremely self-motivated, professional, and engaging personality.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Be organized and able to multi-task.
• Specific industry or market experience in the computer arts a plus.
• Requires strong computer and internet research skills.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
