Posted in: The Job LotA Hollywood-based leader in premium 3D and stereoscopic VFX for feature films is looking for experienced compositors and TDs for several high profile projects. We’re looking for artists who are not only great at their craft, but are also capable of training, critiquing and mentoring other artists.
The company is renowned in the industry as an artist-friendly studio with an only slightly dysfunctional family atmosphere. We also understand the "freshness" of the emerging stereoscopic effects market and are willing to invest in training our employees to be world-class stereo compositors and animators.
Candidates skilled in any of the leading matchmoving applications will be considered. (Nuke competency is a strong plus in our desired skillset.)
Specialized training will commence in October (with the possibility of after hours training for those still working existing contracts). Short and long-term contracts available based on skill and experience.

Essential Skills
Ability to quickly solve tough tracking shots
Ability to accurately orient a 3D space and add appropriate helper geometry
Deal with moving objects in a scene
Solve nodal moves for spherical projections
Desirable Skills
work with mesh hints in PFTrack to derive accurate object depth mattes
articulate modeling of scene geometry after solving the scene
establishment of batch processing pipeline for similar shots
scripting of alignment tools for a motion capture pipeline
