It’s a student project by Christoph PAPITSCH, Julius LECHNER,
KatharinaKESSLER, Peter AUBOECK, Christian LENGGER,
Daniel SEEGER, Michael OLEA and Ellis SITAR at FH Salzburg, Austria.
since it seems everyone is posting his reel here, I wanna do it too 😀 … Iam currently applying for a Junior/Intermediate Comp Position with it – mostly Commercials until now – feedback is welcome 😉
This was the promo done by Radical Studios for Mountain Dew’s Fast5 campaign, but hard luck mountaindew pplz didn’t selected our concept rather than they went for the following concept being done by some other studio
Hi all, i’ve been on this forum for a while. I’ve been really hesitant on posting my reel, but now I need some critique and advice.
I graduated from The Art Institute of Vancouver a while back for VFX. Here’s my demo:
And by the way: a HUGE THANKS to all members of VFXTalk. This reel could NOT have been possible had it not been for the support in this forum.
I graduated as a 2D generalist (i guess), but the thing is, I am deeply into tracking and matchmoving, and I want to specialize in that.
After graduation, which was like in mid-March, I took a contract job as a junior compositor working on game cinematics. Now that is done, I am wanting to look for another job.
The problem is however, during my time working for this, I’ve gained more knowledge about the principles of matchmoving. So much that i feel that’s the only thing I can do comfortably. I mean before this, I was pretty good with roto, but now i don’t even know if I can do that well…
I want to be able to say “yeah i can do roto/jr compositing work”, but now I am terribly hesitant about it.
So i ask the VFXTalk community: what do you think of my reel, and my skills shown in this reel? What do you all feel i should work on?
