Fusion: long sequences?

I’m thinking of evaluating Fusion, it really looks like it can do all the things I need.

However, my main workflow consists of getting several thousand frame image sequences from the Avid editors and then I deal with the whole timeline. Once I get it, I usually split it up by scenes (within the composite’s timeline), then do what vfx/grfx are needed scene by scene. Render the whole thing back to a Quicktime and hand it back to the editors.

Toxik can only handle one scene at a time, and as extremely appealing as it is, being able to only deal with one scene at a time will probably be a deal-breaker for me.

Is this also true for Fusion?
